EDIT: Added (8107 to 8112) Update for those on Rogers
FYI: These files should be able to be used on all Windows Phones, Not just Lumia's

Hi Everyone. bobzero just posted the Tango CAB Update Links. I've taken his links, Downloaded the Files, Added xboxmod's Cab Sender, and Packaged it all into an easy to use Updater.

This will take your Lumia 900 (or Other Windows Phone) and make it Tango. :victory: <--- Dancing

My Current Info:
attachment.php

Prerequisite; You must be running 8112 already. - (Now Added 8112 Update from 8107 for Rogers Customers; Read Below!)

1. Download SuperSport Easy Tango Update.exe.
2. Run SuperSport Easy Tango Update.exe, it should have my SuperSport icon.

3. When it's finished Extracting, you will see a new folder called "Tango Update".

4. Inside "Tango Update" Folder, Find and Run "WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat"

5. When the Command Prompt opens, Press "B" to do a complete backup and then send the update. (If you have a current backup, you can press "S" to only send the update)

That's it, just wait a while for it to complete, about 10 or so minutes. Your phone will reboot with Tango installed. (If doing a backup also, it will take a while longer to backup first)

Keep in mind, this is only the OS update, and not a Firmware update. I'm sure ATT will be updating the Firmware when they release the Tango Update, but for now, enjoy Tango!

ROGERS CUSTOMERS: Download THIS update "SuperSport Easy 8107 to 8112 Update.exe" to bring your phone from 8107 to 8112 FIRST. Then apply the Tango Update. Use it the same way as the Tango Update, with the exception that the Folder name will be different. This one will create a folder called "8112 Update".

It should work for all Windows Phones. It will only update your OS to 7.10.8773.98. But after applying the update, I've read that some people are getting the Firmware update after connecting to Zune.

Although, you must first be updated to 8112 before this will work. If you go HERE, you can download the 8112 update to run first.

Do I need all the languages files posted there if I only require English.

Also could you point me in the right direction as to how I should install 8112 before going through your procedure to achieve Tango?

Thank you,

Yes, you should install all the language files if you are unsure which ones you have currently installed.

I will put together another single download file for those that need to upgrade from 8107 to 8112 first. It will work the same way as this current file. Will have it as soon as I can.

Ok, I've got a file ready for you. This will update Rogers Customers (or anyone still on 8107) to 8112. Run this first, then run the Tango Update. You can find it at the bottom of the first post in this thread.

Oh yeah, Beat Ya! ;)

Since I'm not on Rogers, can you please report back and let me know if this worked for you? Thanks!

OP, is the Lumia you upgraded on AT&T US?

I have a US AT&T 900 as well. Just wondering if it worked with no issue before I jump :)

If you have an AT&T HTC Titan with only English you have to remove all languages files & keep only
diff-7.10.8107.79-7.10.8112.7-armv7-retail-microsoft.lang_0409.pks_ae068921fd637ba2e3e268b28e6ca1c9f3a9c11f
I tried to do the update with all lang but fail.
I have successfully update my HTC Titan to Tango with this method.

Refering to thread #8

I knew about the English been "lang_0409.pks" because of my previous 8107 forced update, but I do not know the code for other languages.

I'm getting this error when running the 8107 to 8112 update .bat:
Code:
Error: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {77CB935D-D0CC-
4249-8643-3C387A514A27} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
Call stack:
   at Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DeviceUpdate.DeviceManager.Initialize()
   at Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DeviceUpdate.DeviceManager.get_Instance()
   at wm7update.Program.Main(String[] args)
Press any key to continue . . .

Edit: Just realized I don't have the SDK installed anymore, might have something to do with it.
Update: Did not fix. I am running Windows 8 RP, so that may be the issue... Will try on Windows 7 PC again...
Update: Fixed on Windows8. Forgot about this: http://download.microsoft.com/downl...7-8E73-CE08CCE07AAB/WPSupportToolv2-amd64.msi

Having trouble doing a backup before attempting your method.

Using Backup V1.9 and having issues with Zune being 4.7. Tried many things without luck.

What backup version do you have and which Zune version are you running?

UPDATE: Sorted. Going through a backup now.

---------- Post added at 09:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:30 PM ----------

Backup gave me an error: Timeout occurred while waiting for the device to reboot.

I read somewhere that the backup may have still been successful yet I can't find any backup file inside AppData.

Any help/feedback?

Update2: Backup sorted and validated. Going to 8112 now.

You try sending a video via SMS text yet? If that works, I'm in...
Video does not work yet. I think a Firmware Update is also needed, but not yet available. You can send multiple images in a single mms, and also voice notes in mms.

Maybe try installing the extra file located in the folder "1" in the extracted folder. Install either the x86 or x64 version depending on your Windows Version.

I use the backup that is included in this download. My Version of Zune is 4.8.2345.0

Great Success

Just completed update to Tango with AT&T branded Lumia 900 ... worked like a charm!

Also just completed on my AT&T branded Titan II using method described above, thanks pjodm! You must do what he suggests and remove all the other lang packs from the folder. Without doing so will result in an Update Unsuccessful. :(

Huge thanks to SuperSport!!!
