The Nexus line has a really great advantage (if you catch my drift) over Sony's handsets: you don't have to worry about SD cards because Nexus series phones have no SD slot altogether.
yes that's the main reason I have never bought a nexus so far...
also, no radio in nexus? wow didn't know that.. so nexus is not for me :p

I've never needed to use SD card as every thing is in a cloud. Worst thing with nexus5 is very poor time on single charge.

In fact that's a disadvantage the lack of extra storage really sucks and thanks for reminding me why I haven't bought a Nexus yet not to down the Nexus 5 it's the first Nexus phone I've ever seriously considered getting I would prefer it over the Xperia T but it's not worth ditching my XperiaT and shelling out more money or getting stuck on another contract for it when something better is just around the corner anyway .

I recently bought a nexus 7 and I also came to the conclusion that I can't live without small apps. Thought I didn't use m that often but it turns out I do. I love that I can multitask YouTube with the small browser. There are also some other futures I'm missing in stock android. I think walkman is better than the stock musicplayer. I do prefer the look of stock, especially kitkat's look on the nexus 5

Yeah it would be nice if we get a KitKat ui as well maybe Sony will provide us with a slick looking KitKat update in the future ICS on the Xperia arc was quite refreshing but buggerd up the phone used up to much of the little ram the phone has to offer which is another reason all Android's should be updated to KitKat at least just once

I thought Gasai Yuno was being sarcastic with that comment about SD slots...

this topic is about 4.3 rolling out wich it never did so far..
so this is/was and have been offtopic from the start. :D

anyway, you got to love the nexus and most of all it's community here on XDA.
i have the N4 and XT although the XT has some advantages compared to the Nexus as the shape of the case and the rough surface. (N4 easy slips out of your hands) and offcourse the sd card. i would still prefer the N4 over the XT. because of it's looks and performance. and the available roms/kernels/mods and features are unbelievable.

i will stop offtopic now.. :D

Sony has released a glimpse of what Xperia users may
expect on the official Android 4.4 and 4.4.2 KitKat update
coming to Xperia Z series, SP, T, TX and V this year. Most
of these features are based on Xperia Sirius and Z1,
including new camera modes, two UI and new battery
    managers.

    Xperia Home UI
Sony Sirius user interface leaked featuring two types:
Xperia and Simple home for those adapted and new users.
Also, icons have changed inside and out, including the
settings menu and battery icon. Sirius' new UI also allows
personalization options for notifications and status bar
    icons at your heart's desire.

    Camera Updates
On Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, Sony included Smart Social apps
which include brand new UI and various selection of camera
modes. Xperia Z1, Z Ultra Z and other members of Z series
may receive some exclusive camera features from Sirius
such as TimeShift video, Background defocus and more.

    Smart Apps
Small apps have been updated with new looks. Close All
button becomes a native part of Recent Apps section and
new features such as Smart Backlight controls which acts
like Smart Stay of Samsung. Moreover, white balance app,
smart call handling, double tap to wake up and answering
machine may become a part of the Android 4.4.2 software
    update.

    Better Sound Support
Xperia Sirius features new sound menu options with support
for audio accessories and high resolution audio via USB.
The upcoming smartphone also features S-Force audio
engine on top of Clear Audio and xLOUD engines of most
    Xperia devices.

    Xperia Themes
If you like personalization, you may combine the
customization options in the notifications and status bars
plus the My Xperia Themes and new wallpapers for more
scheme design. As of now, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean only
supports My Xperia Themes, no further customizations yet.
    Improved Battery Management
Sony upgrades power management even further on Android
KitKat based on Xperia Sirius. In addition to STAMINA
    mode, Low-battery mode and Location-based Wi-Fi, you'll
get Queue background data which save battery life by
sending background data at set intervals. In this way,
whether connected to the Internet via mobile or Wi-Fi, you
can control data syncing better to save more power.
Xperia Z series is expected to get Android KitKat this year
while Xperia SP, T, TX and V may have to wait a little longer
due to an upcoming Android 4.3 update rolling out from end
    of January to early February.
