I chose the 701 rather than the 768, thinking the 710 will be more stable, no?

Most likely, unless your phone can definitely handle 768.
Ive been using this kernel for awhile now and really enjoy it. Is there any way I could modify this kernel, Darchkernel vUV2 710mhz with freememkiller tweak for roms using 2.1 RUU ramdisk, to include usb host mode outlined on this page http://adq.livejournal.com/95689.html ?

Very unstable sluggish to the pint of nonuseable.
Had to go back to vUV 710mhz.
One thing I noticed is that my Free Ram was only 19mb (SysMonitor) where as it is normally around 60mb free and making changes to AutoKiller seem to have no effect, so it looks like a memory management issues.
(I did the remove.zip as instructed)
My Solution:
Fresh Rom 2.1.2
ZenKernel-HTC-08122010 no perf lock - xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=750170

This is the smothest my Hero has ever run... awsome!
Note: Becasue of the remove.zip file location change, I did my nandroid restore to take it back to prior to the .ko file move.

I am,currently running Fresh 2.4 with the,710 of ,kernel. I want to go to the 768, can I just,install it or do I run the module removed first?

This kernel has been my kernel of choice for a good while now, so I wanted to ask, will there be anymore development on this kernel or is it abandoned?
The link to the moduleremover.zip is broken. Every time i tried to download the file it would send me to a google page saying there was a problem and i should try reloading the page(which i did). I looked every where and i can't find the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
