I had originally rooted via ODIN w/prerooted stock ROM & then flashed CWM via Mobile ODIN. Today I updated my recovery to the 10/11/12 *.tar. My cache partition is around 30MB used and 1.29GB free. Am I good or do I need to do something else?

it is easy to check by downlad a terminal emulator from Play market and then issue command: df

for my case, /cache is 1GB free and 34MB used then it is normal size

If you cache partition size larger than 100M, there is no problem.

Whats is the difference between "N7100" file and "Cwm Recovery & Auto Root" file please?

"N7100" file: CWM Recovery for N7100.
“Cwm Recovery & Auto Root” file: CWM Recovery for N7100 + Root file(auto root)

I guess this should be flashed with Odin... A step by step guide in OP. Is that too much to ask?

Edit: Btw. The Note 2 should have some kind of binary counter. How will this affect that?

reset the flash counter may have to wait for "Triangle Away" update.
