Not without modification (which is also true of the ROM discussed in this thread) -- crespo and crespo4g are not identical, particularly when it comes to the telephony stack. I think you're referring to the fact that crespo4g is now an officially supported AOSP device.

@steven676

I hae a question dealing with decompiling and compiling.

I've been using baksmali & smali to decompile and recompile classess.dex for velvet.apk, but have not had any success with decompiling or compiling AndroidManifest.xml.

Any help or direction would be great.

I'm still working on voice search for ics.
If what I said helped you, don't be shy, thank me.

You want apktool, which will do resources as well as Java bytecode for you.

using apktool

You get the follow type of errors:

On Decompile
Config flags size > 36. Exceeding bytes:
Invalid config flags detected:

On Compile
No resource found that matches the given name: attr

because of these errors apktool cannot recompile the apk.

I'm only trying to use the original velvet.apk with no tweaks but with the sdk-version set to "15". If anyone can provide me with one I would appreciate it.

Edit: I used a hex editor to change the sdk value from 16 to 15.

Google now cards pics only show up if you have webhistory enabled. Goto your google account dashboard and click ''resume'' for webhistory in search.

Not every question gets that sort of answer. Try asking it "who is the President of the United States?" Also, compare asking "what is the distance from the Earth to the Sun?" to "how far away is the Sun?"[/QUOTE]

I can't promise anything, as I'm far too busy at the moment to think about taking on yet another project. (That said, my Nexus S is still my day-to-day phone, so if some time opens up in the future ... but again, no promises.)

For the ambitious, the sticking points are likely to be hwcomposer and camera -- there have been big changes to both APIs between 4.1 and 4.2. I'm unclear as to whether the old camera HAL API is supported, but the old hwcomposer API is not, which will be a challenge for binary ports. (The source to handle older hwcomposers is still there for now, just disabled, so a source-based port could reenable the code.)
