have canvas 4 rooted with rom problem
of imei file advised flashing
cant flash using sp flash? using mtk 6589 is it the same?

Bro i tried this method,
my
mobile when attached to usb cable , no sound emitted from from pc
device manager flickered every 1sec until i removed the cable

cant load sp tool ????
please help

Which version of windows are you using. If you are using windows 8. Then try to run SP tool as admin and in compatibility mode. Hope this will help. Ah! Try upgrade instead of download. May be that will work.

If you want to load drivers. Connect your device to PC. Open notification panel. Tap on Connect as CD-Rom. Now you will find your device drivers within your phone. Try to install them and then try to flash. Have a try.

I have an old phone I was trying to flash but does not work. The phone works but is missing a recovery program and I wanted to flash TWRP. It is an Star N9770 original. When I take the battery out and plug in the USB I hear connect and then disconnect over and over again until I hit the power button. If I uninstall the MK65xx preloader USB driver and plug in the phone a popup says the driver was not installed successfully. What is going on? I have a OnePlus One and loaded all the ADB drivers for it and it works fine. I was wondering if those drivers are interfering with this one. Win 7/64 star N9770 model = N9770-20120810_e1809c_v77_gq1008_5647-1. The driver install failure says no driver found. How can I install the driver? When I go to the location of my downloaded drivers and right click install it says installation method not allowed.

Update: I followed the instructions to install the MK6577 Preloader driver which is call VCOM and it worked but it had a Yellow triangle in the device manager. I then started to SP Tool and unplugged the phone and plugged it back in. I had just the recovery checked. Suddenly it started downloading after a minute and worked! Wow! I got TRWP installed.

I have tried this method, success but my phone still bricked

I have Redmi Note 3G Bought from HK, i am sure my ROM is China ROM not a Global ROM, and i got my Phone Softbricked and i did a Flash tool Format + Download and Now it is Hard Brick , no logo , no recovery not charging, no respon, the only hope if flash tool , and i flashed a lot of ROM Linke India Version 38 , Indonesia Version 42 and ETC, a lot i have been trying.. is there any one can help? giving me a lot of link i have been tried but i am not sure what is the exact problem..

Please Do Help Me

Hi, I have a device that works perfectly, but somebady on XDA gave me a ROM which is a more recent version of what I'm currently using, when I press the volume up button, it shows the mt65xx preloader, but after few seconds it dissapears and the battery charging screen comes on the phone. Am I doing it wrong?

the issue im having is that when i follow the instruction as stated when i plug the phone into the computer it will show up in device manager asking for the drivers however it will then disappear from device manager after a few seconds rendering me unable to install the drivers.
What i did realize is that it disappears from device manager as soon as the battery icon for charging appears on the phone.

Any workaround for that?

Dood, you're the beast. This just saved my device ( Wiko Sunset ). I had it rooted with KingRoot and then installed a OTA Update, got bricked at the "dead android" and stuck in recovery. After installing Win10 on my Mac, I still couldn't get it to work.

I have bricked (no power, no charge or led light) HTC Desire D820us with Mediatek cpu/chip. When I tried install driver follow this guide when I plug the phone into computer it's detect as MTK Usb driver every time. I need it to detect as preloader Vcom driver, any ideas friends, thank you.

You have to install them with driver signature enforcement off if you're running Windows 7/8/10

Stuck at 6th point . System not at all showing 'MT65XX PRE-LOADER' in Driver Manager windows 7 64 bit.

Hello bro i follows the step and already do that thing it recognize but something pops up and its a unknown device its not the MT65XX PRELOADER

what should i do ?.. :/ i did a couple of times and still unknown device is pop up in other device i use all the driver already do in youtube and pages also i download and install drivers mtk drivers and already....

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    Still showing the same error: "S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (2005)". Please tell me what to do.

    Another thing, when I connect my A25 phone without battery, the device manager list updates itself every two seconds: once it shows the preloader vcom port and then in the next refresh there's no vcom port and this process repeats. Any idea why?

    Follow the below approach to install the drivers on Windows 8:

    1. Go to the right bottom corner of the desktop and wait for the side menu to appear. When it's there click on the gear icon with the title "Settings".
    2. Now click on the entry "More PC Settings", then click on the entry "General".
    4. Scroll down to "Restart now" (under "Advanced startup") and click it.
    5. Wait a bit for a menu.
    6. Now click "Troubleshoot", then "Advanced Options" and after that click "Windows Startup Settings".
    7. Click on "Restart" and wait for the profit to happen.


    When the computer restarts, select the option "Disable driver signature enforcement". After it finally booted into the operating system you can install the unsigned driver. After you've installed the driver reboot once again and you're done.

    It did the same thing with my MT6577 (Wiko Cink PEAX), so I connected it with a battery and without holding VOL+. Then "MT65xx preloader" appeared in device manager then disappeared (once). It is normal that it disappears. When you start Flash_tool and when you click Download (or whatever you want to do) THEN you connect the phone (in off state), and the flash operation will succeed.
