Re: PARANOIDANDROID 3.00 | Only Rom on Android capable of Hybrid mode 02/11

The moment I used bluetooth, BAM, black screen. I had to go back to jedi xx BUT I miss PA already. :( I use bluetooth a lot in my car when I'm driving because its illegal to be on the phone through school zones which I live by alot of. I did the wipe factory and wipe system BEFORE then wipe dalvik and cache afterwards. Everything smooth UNTIL I messed with bluetooth. :(

What happened after black screen, could you get back to home, or FC it? I haven't tested bluetooth yet, but use it a lot for my Moga controller.

one thing i dont like over the new build compared to 2.99 on my s3 and other devices is the fact you cant change the size of the app icons. icons are too big.

I'm using Holo, seems smooth... but I see what looks like tearing, tarring... I forget the spelling. Not sure if it's the launcher though. Might lauch stock launcher to find out the cause.

Still get a bootloop every so often. Only after messing around a lot with themes, and apps though. Quick battery pull gets past it though. Though I do hate doing that, wish I could just hold in the power button, Lol.

ROM is up.
pa_t0lte-3.00-15FEB2013-153840.zip
http://goo.im/devs/ManelScout4Life/Paranoid
MD5sum: a0ba0384453500eff34cc5ec8eba9cda

What's been done:
- 4.2.2 running
- cm10 gestures added
- palm rejection implemented (not fully tested)
- solved the bootloop bug (hopefully)

Flash the ROM first, let it boot, once it boots reboot to recovery and flash the gapps.

Re: [4.2.2] PARANOIDANDROID 3.00 | Only Rom on Android capable of Hybrid mode 02/16

Due to change from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2, suggested to clean flash I presume?

Is this also update to the latest 3.0.64 kernel? Just asking, not trying to get flamed for not jumping over to the changelog thingie, Lol. Mighty fine work you've got here sir. Keep it up, bugs included. °^_^°

Just flashed. The signal display shows 0 bars and the h flashes on and off.

Tried factory reset and reflash. Maybe a modem issue?

But I actually have service.

ok so i am having the weirdest problem. When i sign into my gmail account and the phone starts downloading all the apps automatically, it gets part of the way done, then i get an error and they stop downloading. each app gets its own error that says "(name of app) could not be downloaded. (920)" i googled that error and only found a handful of possible fixes. Wipe cache and data for google play store, and google services framework. Still wasnt working. restored my jedi-xx rom, still wasnt working. then it stopped working on my tablet. called google, she had me wipe the data/cache on the download manager, this got both working again. tried reflashing this rom, does it all over. idk wtf im doing wrong, but this is somehow messing with my account. i wont be using this rom, but i just thought you should know it was happening.

EDIT: even though clearing those things fixes my download issues, it doesnt allow me to redownload my purchased apps for free. kind of a deal breaker

Same thing here, feels like I'm blasting full signal, but the icon in the sys tray just isn't saying it right. Figured the same, ws going to just wipe cache/dalvik and reflash modem. Maybe icon geeked... heard about an issue with the icon in other 4.2.2 roms. Just saying... maybe.

Sounds like a dirty flash, wipe cache/dalvik/system/Factory reset four times each(I know, excessive OCD). Then flash rom, reboot... sit for 20 minutes without playing with your phone. Reboot into recovery, wipe cache/dalvik flash PA Gapps, yes wipe cache/dalvik again, back up and fix permissions, then boot up. Sit for 5 minutes reboot. After that, cleanest d*mn install ever, should be flying, and silky smooth. No issues here. Just saying... It's always good to stop, dumb down, and just do it "one" more time. I did, love this rom. Few scattered thingies, but rock solid, and fun the work with.

Stock I was seeing 13hours, no gaming. With PA, latest update I'm getting 16.2hours max, no gaming. Stock, 6.1 hours heavy gaming and PA latest about 8.6hours heavy gaming. Thus far pleased with results... but in my opinion, too early for me to tell. Running latest, day 2. Still think it'll hold those results though. Just my thoughts.

Manel, latest build is epic, haven't got stuck in a bootloop when reboot yet, or stuck when I flashed it, like I did with previous. Love what you've done with this version. Keep up the good work. Will tell as rom settles in, in a few days. Oh, before I forget... I've been hesitant to touch, or try bluetooth. Should I try now, or is that bug still in here?

Edit: this is from the ATT section for this ROM

just a side note, even though in call Bluetooth is not 100% yet, its a lot better than it was on previous builds, and, the callers say I sound perfect; its just they sound somewhat crackly to me; Bluetooth music streaming is perfect though.
Thanks again John!

You guys really should follow the ROM there, there is more discussion and the ROM is identical.

AOSPA for legacy devices (non-nexus) is still in progress. Consider this build as a early preview.

Please do not answer questions that have been asked and answered before, just ignore/report them.

    Removed

You should use TWRP and always wipe system
and factory reset before flashing and cache/dalvik after!

BE WARNED, 4.2.0 is not the most bugless android, the issues are known.

    FEATURES for 2.99,
    • Hybrid engine,
    • Per app Layout, this will let you choose the UI of any app, that means you can switch apps into their tablet layouts
    • Per app Size, scale apps individually, this is especially important if you use tablet apps, go as small or big as you like
    • Per app Color, this lets you select statusbar and navbar colors for apps individually, colors will shift when you jump from one app to another
    • Hybrid engine makes it possible to use any tablet ready app available on your phone, start with your regular Google apps and see what treasures lie hidden in them and just how well they work on your device.
    • You can use hybrid engine to use all available general interface UI's aswell: Phone, Phablet, Tablet. This is safe as milk, we don't change DPI, we don't trash your market, we don't shrink all your apps or force them into layouts, you don't need to edit system files for that.
    • Transparent bars and color pickers, new SystemUI drawables thanks to giannisgx89
    • Theming Engine
    • Statusbar Settings, Lockscreen Settings
    • Multiuser support
    • Quicksettings -> Quicktoggles
    • 4.2 Walls and sounds, Google stock apps
    • As we merge back our old CMPA feature catalogue this list will grow considerably over the coming weeks
    • New holo-styled theme chooser
    • T9 dialer
    • New papreferences app

Bro, if I had trillions upon trillions of dollars, I would spend whatever it took, exhaust whatever resources I could, pull every string I could grasp, to buy the entire internet. Then I would make it free to every creature and being on the planet that was able to type on a keyboard. Every monkey, beast, four legged creature with opposable thumbs or fingers would have free Comcast. They would also have an xda account as part of this free service as a stipulation. You, however, would be denied all access.

This ones a bit bigger so lets just get to the point,

Pa-prefs gets a new pop-up/dialog based interface. It'll be way faster to navigate when you visit the app list.

A new toggle will show you hybrid properties for each foreground app. You tap it and it will open up the same pop-up again. This allows you to change stuff for apps faster than ever before. We've cut out some nonsense like that forceclose dialog.

Pa-prefs comes in holo dark, brings lots of stylechanges and refinements.

PIE wont freeze pixels on nex7 anymore, it will not cause choppy recents. These troubles were from Android but we've found a way to fix them, without checking hw-overlays.

    Plus several bugfixes like always.
