I'm in a charitable mood todayI was gonna respond with a long rant about how searching and finding this stuff is so easy a caveman could do it. Sometimes it's just not worth getting all worked up. People will expect to have their hands held no matter how much we cyber-bully them. People here know I'm not generally the holding hands type

Anyways, any reports of changes I just saw a 10/08 nightly now. 10/07 I just read eliminated a lot of RILJ. I rarely get that on 10/01. Maybe if I'm bored later I'll up to 10/08. Thoughts from others who have gone to 10/08 yet?

Haven't been able to download either. Both direct links give 404 errors and I wasn't getting any peers on the torrent.
Anyone have a mirror?

I'd been using get.cm which is obviously not as good a choice for nightlies. Will use that link in the future, thanks!

fyi i read every post in this forum,(as well as 5 or 6 others of importance to me or my devices). this thread if memory serves, is a USER THREAD, not a developer thread. sorry i dont have the skills of a developer, but the initial post, which i DID read, mr entropy, was not very clear as to what the cm kernel is then or now (to a person struggling to educate themselves). I have downloaded and installed every nightly and see no changefile or kernel information separate from the one nightly file and I am oh so sorry for not knowing how to find it if it is embedded therein (at get.cm). i have searched for hours to find or learn how to find the specific information. I only posted in absolute frustration when i couldnt find it myself.... and this is what i got...better just to give up!. thanks for all your help and insults.. several of you sound like a bunch of bored partially educated people pontificating about the nature of dust. neither you nor your "expertise" are that important, stop patting yourselves on the back and trying to feel superior in one area of your life by bashing someones absence of your "wisdom". help people when they ask for it rather than assuming they are idiots and berating them. it only makes you look the fool. it is a form of bullying. grow up. btw, dont bother responding, I am forever out of here. if you dont have anything to post of any value, why pollute the thread with your inane insulting and assumptive comments that are simply wrong and dont help anyone or anything. remember what your mother should have always told you...if you dont have something helpful or nice to say, keep your mouth shut! when someone asks a "dumb" question for a link or a link location or some small item that might save him or her hours and hours of searching, does it take any more effort to give that person some direction than to write something like "read the thread dumb ass or search if you can figure that out." if you have to sound off, go write a blog, or hijack some other thread. sorry for taking up your precious time and space. true intelligence knows that no matter how much they know they know very little.... really kind, and socially skilled folks, share what they have learned. these are the reasons the worlds socially challenged are internet addicted. so sad,

For some reason I have not been able to download the last 4 nightlies. It just errors out. Anyone have mirror I can download the latest nightly from? Does anyone know why I might be ha king this issue?

I can't download nightlys either. So far I have tried cm updater,cm10 downloaded app from market, get cm website. Also uninstalled downloaded app, cleared data for updater, wiped cache and dalvik, fixed permissions. I am the Oct.5th build and tried to update yesterday and today without success. I guess I will download to my laptop and copy to phone when I can get WiFi. If anyone figures this out please let us know.
Edit.....Okay this is embarrassing but I want to share in case it will help someone else. My SD card was almost full, only 55mb left......I swear my phone used to have a pop-up for that.

It's the link itself, it has nothing to do with the apps. The torrent links are usually reliable though.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. First time installing CyanogenMod 10 to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working CWM Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM10 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10 zip from internal SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from internal SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 10:
- Copy CM10 ZIP to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10 zip from internal SDCard
- Reboot

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Everything is broken until proven otherwise.
- Known broken things include:
- Mediascanner derps hard for many people, eating 100% CPU for 30-40 minutes on boot.
- Missing many CM10 features
- NFC totally untested
- Anything broken on I9100 will be a problem on I777 too
- Screenshots are from I9100. I'm lazy, and I777 isn't any different

Good news: I found out the source of the problem and built a fix this morning.
Bad news: Severe thunderstorms yesterday afternoon knocked out my cable modem. I'm unable to upload a build or even the fix until it comes back.51RELEASE PULLED. I just discovered from user reports in the N7000 thread that this has the capability of triggering the infamous eMMC brickbug on installation. This is far less likely on I777 since almost no one is running intramfs-repacked UCLE5, but those people could experience severe unrecoverable problems. I will reopen this thread once I reimplement that fix.
To be clear - the bug only affects initial flashing. If you are already running CM10, you are safe. If you are not already running CM10, DO NOT flash the release unless you are running a known safe kernel. Right now, I will only guarantee safety with the pulled release if you start from CM9.49Unless something comes up Monday evening and I'm too busy to build, I'll try to get the first I777 test build out monday evening for 4.2.1.
Benefit of the wait for you guys? N7000/I9100 users are guinea pigs with ****ty builds that have all sorts of broken stuff. First I777 build will have all of the big issues resolved.424.2 test build within the next few days, depending on my availability/time.
Finally I think we've got the graphics breakthrough we need... just needs to be beat on/polished a bit.
