I have the same problem that USB charging is not working. Even with the adb command above it doesn't work.
You don't create files there.
The instructions I gave above is the proper way to do it.
You can create a script to do it on demand.
Someone even created a widget for it (in apps section).

mmm That widget doesn't work for me ("unknown" state allways). I'm now using adb command as you gave, but I am not really sure how to check if it is working or not, both 0 and 1 values give me the ray over the battery icon, and the charguing current value using current widget is the same in both situations...
Thanks,
Thanks for all your hard work with this rom
A quick question
My tab is very laggy and doing simple things like popping up keyboard takes a lot time
My Mrs has a nexus 7 and is super swift.
Does everyone have the lag and lives with it as its a slower CPU etc?
Or might there be something wrong with mine?
I'm often updating the nightly builds, and but there is no change
Do I need to do a fresh install? If and wipe everything?
If so, I can I do it without plugging it into the PC? (a breif summary of what to try would be great)
If it's just how this old tab rolls with the latest software then I don't want to seem ungrateful, and so thanks again for your hardwork!
when the value is 0, you will get no notifications in android (this is a bug which is slated to be rectified since it also doesnt realise (android) that it's plugged in to AC).
when the value is 1, you will get notified via android on the lockscreen, about -> status, and charge symbol on battery (status bar). AC will get recognised by android in this mode as well.
the tab is always charging via USB, but it does trickle charge (when plugged in to PC). with force_usb_charging on, its a bit more then trickle.
@ pershoot ive noticed in Browser, Chrome when trying to enter in text fields on certain websites the keyboard keeps dissapearing while typing have you have to wait for the keyboard to pop up again to continue entering text. cm10.1 March 8th build
turn off all the animations (developer settings) and it wont give the illusion of lag wagon so much.
if that's not acceptable/satisfactory to you, then feel free to stay on 4.1.2. you can get a recent build from droidbasement.
So without animations my tab is fast. Of course CPU consuming games are less performing but browsing etc is fast. So opening the keyboard is more or less instantly. If it takes more than a sec I'd do a fresh install with full wipe, also of /system and flash latest nightly an gapps from op via cwm. Provided you are Already on correct boot loader and recovery as mentioned in op

Flash the Recovery per Odin on PC by PDA. Your Tab must be in downloadmode.
