[Q] Transformer speed issues

Hi, I am a proud user of transformer 3000 but I have few question concerning overall system speed.
I have an untouched asus firmware with newest updates. The thing is that still it runs quite slow and especially when you turn it on after sleep. My question is to all you folks who rooted your tablet, is it a big difference between a clean android install and asus version? In other words, is it worth the trouble (as I presume it voids warranty)?

p.s is it possible from technical stand point, to install win8?

IMO, it was worth voiding the warranty so that I can run the custom ROM I'm running and to overclock.

No on the Win8 question.
