I'm going from my S3s to a Note 2. Loved my Note 1 but the S3 had various things that made it better suited to my use, now I get to enjoy all of those things but with a proper-sized screen.

Today I sold my S3 for $400 on craigslist. Not a bad fetch considering I paid $440 (new) for it a month ago on Ebay. So yes I will be going from a S3 to a NOTE 2

When I read the first reports about the international Note 2 release for the end of August,
I had 2 days left on my remorse return for the GS3 on T-Mobile.
Returned it the next day, and waiting for the T-mobile Note 2 release on mid November.
Consider for a while on buying the international version, but really can't stand being on Edge 2G.
My GS3 made 12MB/s data connection transfer on my area, read some got a maximum of 27Mb/s
on T-Mobile. That is fast enough for me, no need for LTE.
Now running with my trusty HTC HD2 with Windows Phone 7.8 on NAND and MIUI, CM9, CM10, Sense 2.1, 3.0, 3.5, alpha 4.0
and debian linux builds on a 64GB microsdxc. That will keep me busy until November.
Current devices:
T-Mobile US Samsung Galaxy Note II T889 ROM: Tweaked 2.0RC
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 ROM: Collective Edition v6
T-Mobile US HTC HD2 NAND ROM: WP 7.8 Dynamics 2.0b NativeSD ROM: Everything else

Honorable discharge:
Samsung Omnia I910
Qtek 9100 Wiza200

I'm in - this is the 1st device truly worthy of replacing my dell streak, note 1 was too wide but gs3 is not quite big enough screen
