HTC Backup - What does it back up?

Hey guys ,

Title says it. I just need to know what the HTC Backup app actually backs up ? The one thats in the settings menu. Does it include app Data Or the apps themselves ?

If you use the backup on the phone it back's up everything apps call sms home screen and so on

Good question op.

So does it backup all apps data or only those that have been coded to take advantage of Google's app data backup options for instance.

I may have to do a nandroid and reset to see what happens.

For anyone who is interested.

I just installed viper and restored my phone from the HTC Backup .

It restored settings, messages , contacts , home screens, folders, and also downloaded apps . However my app data were all gone . I had to set up every app from scratch again .
