I noticed that setting "Menu key long-press action" to Search
, only opens Google search and requires the keyboard to be manually opened by tapping within the text field. I did not like the extra step of having to manually open the keyboard each time I want to search and so I reverted the "Menu key long-press action" back to the Default
The problem I have is that, after reverting to the Default
option, long-pressing the menu button no longer has any function.
My device still vibrates when the menu button is long-pressed but nothing else occurs. Before I installed your module, long-pressing the menu key would open Google search w/ the keyboard already exposed. Now, I can no longer get back to stock (default) behavior even though I have selected the Default
option in your module.
1. Please ensure that the Default
option actually reverts back to the original default behavior.
2. Please add a new option (action) similar to Cyanogen Mod's "In-app search". This action behaves by searching whatever app is currently in focus. If you are in the Youtube application, then the Youtube search dialog opens. If you are on the home screen, google search is opened (with the keyboard exposed
