Are you sure that you did a full wipe before flashing this ROM? I ask because i do not have those problems. The only known problem with streaming apps is that Watch ESPN does not work. All others do.

I am running the Rezound Global OTA (4.03.605) Sense 4 Kernel (VIDEO FIXED) kernel and have been very satisfied with it.Many new ones on coming online due to the recent source code release.

1. The phone gets pretty hot compared to a few of the other rom/kernels I've used. Tried a few different kernels with no luck so I'm back on the one that came with this rom. What kernel is best recommended? I'm on the older ICS firmware and I am S-On. Would it seriously benefit to go through all the trouble of upgrading to the newest firmware??? It gets hot enough that it slows way down and lags bad. Just charging while watching Netflix makes it super hot and never did that on any other rom/kernel.combination.

2. I've tried reflashing a few times and my Streaming Media player doesn't work. Trying to play as mobile, or playing straight from the web page doesn't work at all. I have to download MX Player to do those videos but they are always blurry. H/W encoding isn't available to make them clear and using s/w encoding sucks.

Any suggestions???

Full wipe = factory reset, dal cache, cache, system... Right? Do that for every rom flash. I tried running that kernel but I think it was before the fix for video. Also tried running the OC Kernel. If I try to stream a video straight from a page it goes black for a second then goes back to the page. If I try to do it with streaming media audio it says "Sorry, this video cannot be played"

YouTube type videos work fine all around. I'm talking about other random types of videos. With all kernels it seems to get hot after extended use or using/charging at the same time.

Yes. S-off, run the global RUU from over at androidpolice, flash AR 3.15 in hboot (fastboot commands wont work after you RUU), flash viper, then flash DSB's 1.0.7 kernel. Then install system tuner, and find a governor that works for you. It sounds like a daunting task, but it's the best way to eliminate your heat issues. Yes, you will seriously benefit.

I completely understand. It took me awhile to work up the guts to do it. I have to be honest, the first time I tried the wire trick, it failed. However, I re-ran the program (immediately after the fail) and got it on the second shot. Seriously, it took me about 10 minutes to do the whole thing from the moment I downloaded the program till the time I achieved s-off. The juopunutbear method is almost 100% foolproof. Just breathe deeply and keep your hands steady. Going S-Off will open up a lot of different options (and add convenience) for you. Apophis posted a thread where he listed his gtalk account (along with others) in order to help out with any questions. If you have any problems with going s-off don't hesitate to contact him. He made it sound like he would be more than happy to help. I think you'll be fine though, it's really easy.

This still doesn't fix the streaming media player problem. I downloaded dice player that works for some things but its still mobile quality. Someone on venom do me a favor and try to play a YouTube video directly from the desktop site, or any kind of video directly from a site instead of the YouTube app or in mobile mode... It shows a little movie reel icon in the middle but doesn't play. YouTube app works fine, but trying to play things with Streaming media app makes it say "sorry, this video cannot be played"

Have you tried a different browser to determine if that is the problem? I have some hiccups using Dolphin Beta, but no problems with Chrome or the standard Dolphin. Watching YouTube videos directly through the browser works fine on RezRom.

I think it has to do with Flash no longer being surpported from android 4.0 and up.
