Charles, the true culprit was adblock plus. When I removed my sim and re-installed adblock didn't have enough time needed to re-initialize. Thus I was able to send and receive MMS in a quick fashion BEFORE adblock had a chance to screw up the MMS capabilities.

Soon, after one minute I was back to square one and unable to use MMS.

After much head scratching, I changed my APN MMS settings from 80 to 8080 (seen in the video) Now I can send and receive just fine.

Video for anyone that also runs into this problem with adblock plus

So for those keeping up (as I see many have downloaded this rom but no one seems to add their two cents in here), playing music while phone is docked does not work.
Let me rephrase. Music plays but no sound comes out of phone. As seen in my other thread here http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=51351700

The ability is possible on stock rom. I wonder if they are experiencing this same issue on NON-GPE devices??

That is awesome.
When flashing kernel do I need to completely wipe data and basically start over?
I'm gonna give both the new update and kernel a shot

no, just:
  1. Backup
  2. Dirty flash the new rom (no wipe of data) and make sure it works
  3. Boot into recovery and flash kernel (shouldn't need any wipes for this one as it's almost identical)

@blueether the rom works great.

The GPE version of double tap to wake zip doesn't. I go into recovery. Flash, and get device 7 error message. This zip is for every xperia z ultra version but GPE. YOu have GPE version. install aborted.

You may have seen that I have been donated a GPe by a very kind member on here:D (if you don't want anyone to know that it was you don't put your hand up, or PM me if you don't mind me saying ). This will allow me to debug these little niggles that seen to be effecting the GPe, I might even get the converting tool I was working on to work.

Al up expect to see a little more GPe dev work when I have time

    Build 17 [2014-06-09]:
Carbon Togari (2014-09-09) - Direct XDA Download
This is the first release of Carbon 4.4.3 - Untested build Dialer may not work

Hey Charles, I didn't try on power connection until you mentioned it. It doesn't work on my charger cradle nor via mini usb.
I have a LG G2 so I'm pretty savy with the double tap to wake.

I wonder if it is because I have a password on my phone? I will disable password and try that route.

---------- Post added at 11:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:52 PM ----------

Update, nope the deactivation of password didn't help any.

I wonder if us GPE guys have to flash the boot.img first, then the zip file?

I think when I repackaged the kernel I used the wrong one. Try the one I just uploaded...

    New Build: http://xdaforums.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=5901

    Notable changes:
Small changes to Battery Saver Mode
Fix Dialer/Phone background color being white when using Dark Carbon
    Added ability to pause/resume downloads
Fix text messages not being received due to blacklist bug
Added Battery Saver Mode (not sure if this was in the last 'stable' build)
    Plus other upstream updates

Nothing really new in the kernel except that it's updated to include 757 stuff.
