Only when you search for it, you'll find the ROM which best suits YOUR needs... Lots of ROMs to choose from...Cm7 and its derivatives, the new ICS based ones, Dynamite, Oxygen, Sense UI ports, etc.... and yeah might become an addiction..
Google LG Nexus 4:
Stock, will start tinkering deeply after a little while..

LG Optimus One P500:
Current ROM: CM 10.1.0 RC (Got to say, the CM launcher and Apollo have become really good!)
CPU: 320-710 MHz, Interactive governor.
Kernel: Stock CM kernel.
Mods: Power as Search, Search as Power, Link2SD.
