ok guys,

i took my chances and flashed artemis to my tmous. and its working great.:D:D
went by the basics,
1. flashed hspl4/3.03hspl
2. flashed radio 2.15.50.14, using RUU.
3. flashed rom v66, using RUU.

....

best regards.

Hi kanishkapd

It just seems strange / weird that your phone shows the same RAM Size and similar free memory as our european devices.

Greetings

Skyguar said:
But there would be some differencies regarding nk.exe. As far as know nk.exe from TMOUS suits for european HD2 (then it "opens" or "shows" 576MB RAM), but i don't know and haven't heard that nk.exe from european HD2 suits for TMOUS

Since he is using nk.exe from Euro HD2 on TMUS device, this would be kinda logical...

:D
..... one last question, do i have to change back to SPL 3.03.0000 ?

best regards.

No, you do not need to revert back to SPL 3.03 if u have HSPL 3.03.

Anyway. Kudoz for trying kanishkapd ! Enjoy, now it can be said : Artemis runs on TMUS devices.... shame that it took 2 years for someone to try it :)

thanks mr. sternas for this wonderul rom:) and looking forward to v67.
thanks mr. kuzibri for your relentless advice and support. :D ( probably you could call me a "hero" now :)
had to do some reading since i m not the most tech savvy guy around. and still checking out the performance. no issues yet. probably mr.sternas can do more research and recommend for tmous officially. hope more guys would try artemis on their tmouses.
will update as i continue using. one last question, do i have to change back to SPL 3.03.0000 ?

best regards.

your'e very welcome my friend and indeed you are my personal hero now. The discussion about the Radio, I did not understand, cause HTC 3.14 ROM and Artemis need Radio 2.15, thus is compatible with both of them!!
Normally I agree with Skyguar, but not this time, cause HTC 3.14 ROM and Artemis need Radio 2.15!!

very best regards and congrats to our new hero, Kuzibri

update - artemis v66 0n tmous

hi again,
thanks very much for all your advices and guidance. thought of sharing my experience with artemis as well as couple of questions.

first of all this is the fastest rom i have used :) and all the small applications, x2 task manager, wm task manager..etc..are so useful as well as eye candy. i m really thrilled :D too bad that tmous users couldnt get the experience.
its great if there had been applets to switch to silent mode, restart sense..:)

couple of questions,

1. i have installed hspl 3.03. do i have to install spl 3.03?..( dear kuzubri, you asked to install spl 3.03 in your last post or was it a typo ?:)
since sbl2003, said not needed in the previous post. do you guys come to an agreement on this fact?
2. had to hard reset once today. i was having google maps, another couple of apps in the back ground and was checking out OHS. actually i was trying to change OHS background colour using AC. suddenly phone did a hard reset automatically and even then would get stuck in the home screen. the start menu and apps would work, but, when i tried to go to the home screen it would get stuck. had to do a hard reset manually and it sorted the issue. any explanation?

3. the proximity sensor seems bit erratic while answering a call. takes a while to turn off screen.

4. i m using cht, which works fine. but if the soft keys are enabled the x2 task manager doesnt work. not a big issue though, disabled the soft keys and its fine:)

i will update if i come across any significant issue. at the moment really enjoying.
regards.

or else he had made a typo error:)

Indeed my dear friend it was a Typo error:

No you do have to do that!!!, should have been no you don't have to do that

best regards, Kuzibri

artemis not compatible with tmous!...unfortunately.

hi guys,

after using artemis on my tmous for several days, i ve found out that its not compatible.
spontaneous hard resets are the main issue i got. after using for 10-12 hours, phone would freeze and as usual i would try the soft reset. but, instead of a soft reset, phone performed a hard reset!..even then the issue was not settled. almost immediately phone starts to freeze again, but, the start menu is accessible, by long pressing the power button. and a manual hard reset (clear storage) is needed to solve the freezes. then it would work well for sometime. after 12 hours or so, the cycle repeats.

i had about 15 hard resets upto now. thought sense was causing the issue as it seemed that whenever i tried to get to the home screen phone would freeze(i mean when the freezing issue is active). tried disabling sense, using spb ms, and only ohs. but the problem persists.

i m sure it s a minor adjustment to be made, if only mr. sternas had a tmous.
so...guess i have no choice but to go back to the old rom.

my regards to mr.sternas and all the supportive guys in this rom thread. its been a pleasure...and hope one day this great piece of work would be fully compatinle with the tmous. :)

best regards.

Does anyone know of a software through which i can have an on screen D-Pad, i loved playing age of empires on my XDA Atom life, sadly It's dead but i still have the license, tried it on leo and due to missing dpad, there's not much i can do (The game is qvga only so there's quite a lot of space at the bottom)

Hi my friend,

before you decide to definitely stop, just a few questions:
1. did you prepare your SD Card before flashing Artemis ROM, i.e. remove application data and program files folder, or even better format it?
2. Did you flash Artemis ROM using LeoAdvancedRUU option 3 (SSPL)? So indeed, try SPLmethod of flashing instead of HSPL, maybe - just a guess - TMOUS does not like HSPL.
3. Did you after flashing Artemis ROM perform a hard reset and thereafter a soft reset?
4. How about battery drainage with Artemis ROM?

Probably yes, but I want to know for sure that you did not missed something, which would be a pity.

Usually freezes and spontaneous HR's are the result of a dysfunctioning/severely defragmentation of SD Card.

good luck and best regards, Kuzibri

Hello my Friend,

This would not help him... The problem is what I was telling - nk.exe... Sadly, but nothing would succeed him to run Artemis Rom (for the moment)...

Hi my dear friend,

maybe you're right, but you know my motto: "Never give up". Maybe we are all overlooking something, cause it has worked for a while on his device (we cannot deny that), that's why I send him my post.

very best regards, Kuzibri

hi dear friend. i appreciate your concern and support. i think i did everything correct.
1. yes i formattied it.
2. i did flash using hspl though. bcos due to some reason my phone does not anyway synchronise with my win7 laptop, and the advanced ruu did not work with the xp computers i checked. so did the hspl method.
3. yes i did a hard reset and soft too.
4. actually i couldnt check the battery. as it was doing hard resets every 10 to 12 hours, it wouldnt have been very reliable. but guess it was good battery life.

perhaps as skyguar said it is a problem with nk.exe. too bad mr.sternas doesnt have a tmous

thanks very much for your advice all the way.
regards.

Goldcard method - install Artemis v.4x - v.7x on your branded Leo (no HSPL needed)

I suggest using Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x/v.7x ROM with HSPL4 (HSPL 3.03). So its not necessary to use the goldcard method.

If you want to use the goldcard method please move forward with my guide...

Cause many users ask me how to flash their operator branded Leo (aka HD2) with the goldcard method, I decided to write a short tutorial, which is a little bit different from the others in the forum.

The reason for this guide is that operator branded Leos (e. g. T-Mobile UK, Orange, etc. - see available 3.14 ROMs here!) don't work very well with the great Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x/v.7x ROM until you haven't updated your Leo to SPL 3.03.0000 from 3.14 Stock ROM. Thes simplest way to use the necessary SPL version 3.03 is to flash HSPL4 (HSPL 3.03) on your Leo. Beside HSPL you can flash Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x ROM (which is based on 3.14 ROM), until your operator has not published an official 3.14 ROM, with the goldcard method. With the goldcard method you are able to flash any 3.14 ROM (and older) without HSPL on your branded Leo. Attention: If you use Artemis v.4x/v.5x ROM in combination with HSPL2/3 you will notice some errors like low RAM etc.

If you have an unbranded (original HTC) Leo or your operator provide you a 3.14 ROM, you don't have to follow my guide. Please go directly to the nice Artemis flash tutorial by user scv http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8776196&postcount=26465.

    What you need:

    1. microSD card (some users reported issues with microSD card size bigger than 8 GB - btw. I've used a 2 GB SanDisk microSD card)
    2. The "PSAS" Software: http://psas.revskills.de/?q=node/6 - (RevSkills 2.x free version)

Please read the following lines carefuly! Its important for your success to follow step by step!

    microSD card "flash" procedure:

    1. Download and install the PSAS free Version mentioned above: http://psas.revskills.de/?q=node/6
-- The goldcard generator you'll find on psas.revskills.de is for Android and Windows Phone 7 only!
    2. Backup all files from your microSD card you need later! Please remember that all files and settings from your Leo will lost due to the flash procedure!
    3. Format your microSD card with FAT32 file system.
-- In my experience it doesn't matter if you format it via card reader/Windows or via Leo.
    4. Input the microSD card in your Leo.
    5. Connect your Leo via USB with your PC and choose Active Sync on your Leo.
-- Make sure, that you have access to your Leo/microSD card via Windows Explorer!
    6. Open PSAS with administrative privileges and choose « Hardware Forensics » - « WINCE SD Card Utils ». Click on « Get Serial and Disk ID ».
    7. Notice which Hex-Code is written in the field « SD Card Serial » (CID) by choosing the right size of your microSD card by using the drop-down menu of the « SD Card Serial » field (mostly « Disk ID 07 »).
    8. You now can choose between the following:
      • Very often the CID is 9E000000400000000000020002000000. You can download the goldcard image file for this CID (9E0000004...) here: http://www.oliver-weidel.de/download/htc_goldcard/9E000000400000000000020002000000.zip. After download, please rename the file e. g. to "goldcard.img" (dont try to extract the ZIP-file!) and move forward to step 9.
      • If your CID is not 9E000000400000000000020002000000 than you have the choise:
        a) Buy PSAS licence (30 €) and create a goldcard image by yourself
        b) Write a nice private message to me with your CID ;)
    9. After you generate/receive your goldcard.img, in PSAS go to « Hardware Forensics » - « WINCE SD Card Utils » and click on « Get Serial and Disk ID » again. Choose your microSD card and click on « Write Image File ». Now choose your goldcard image and "flash" it on your microSD card.
-- If you got a message, that its not successful, than close PSAS, disconnect USB from your Leo and connect USB again. Start PSAS (as admin) and try again!
    10. Close PSAS and move forward to the Artemis flash tutorial by user scv: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8776196&postcount=26465

Make sure that you insert your microSD card (goldcard) in your Leo during the flash of Stock ROM - at bullet point 4 in user scv tutorial!

    Questions and Answers:
    • "Is the goldcard method somehow effecting the device? Will I lose my guaranty if I have to send my HD2 back to repair?"
-- No, it doesn't alter the phone, it just bypasses the checks (thanks to user samsamuel). If you have to send it to repair, easily install any Stock ROM from your operator.
    • "HSPL can be removed, but is this really 'debranding' or just flashing on a still branded device?"
-- A goldcard is a microSD card with a special signature in the master boot record, which turns the region check off to flash the HTC device with any ROM. So, the goldcard only temporary disable the region check if the custom microSD card is present in the Leo during upgrade.
    • "Is it neccessary to do task29 anymore?"
-- Using the goldcard method (flash 3.14 HTC Stock ROM) before the SSPL flash (Artemis v.4x/v.5x/v.6x) is the perfect replacement for task29 as it erases every part of the ROM (tanks to user pcwe and Cuthy).
    • "Must the goldcard always be present in my Leo?"
-- No, the goldcard have only be inside your Leo during the flash procedere of the original HTC 3.14 Stock ROM.

Hope this tutorial will help some people. If you need further assistance, dont hesitate to post your problems in the forum.
