I'm sorry to hear that.

There are obviously different versions in the market.

The one I've bought is out of alu. For sure no metal paint.

It is an alu inlay on the plastic back plate.

OEM quality and much nicer than the original all-plastic one.

Must be a different seller then. The cover I got is 2 piece, i can actually press the aluminium part further into the rubber surrounding and base
