If that's true then our HD2's will be upgradable by only a future ROM release. But why HTC "hides" this extra RAM at first place?

Finally, this has been discussed on XDA, actually a while ago, I have seen someone on Mobile01(a Taiwan forum)claimed his HD has over 500RAM, and uploaded a video to prove.
Since it has been a while, I can not find where that thread is, can someone find it?
