[ROM] Official Sony ICS 4.1.A.0.562 NCB Generic + ROOT [Update: 15.04.2012]

Search This thread
I have Flashtool version 0.7.0.0 but there is some confusion as to what options needs to be selected when flashing (Wipe User Data, Wipe Cache etc)

With the previous version of Flashtool there was that post of doomed151 with the three steps, but with this new version these three steps are not required. There are so many different posts on the forums with different ways and suggestions that it is difficult to keep track with what to do.

Also my phone is a LT15i arc but as I understand this LT18 .ftf firmware is fine for the LT15. Is this correct?

My phone has a unlocked bootloader (done by Jinx13) and is rooted using RootXperia.zip on LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.62 Generic Global World firmware

ok firstly make sure that you are on LATEST FLASHTOOL...

when u start flashtool the log window should read:
Code:
15/017/2012 20:17:23 - INFO - Flashtool Version 0.7.0.0 built on 2012-04-14 11:34:01

ics-fw-lt18-on-lt15-ft.jpg

once u verify the above make sure u download the NCB version of the FTF posted by Bin4ry in 1st post...

then select the FTF but be careful to CHECK the box titled "No Final Verification Check"

ics-fw-lt18-on-lt15.jpg

now u can successfully flash the ARC S (LT18) FW on ur ARC (LT15)

i have flashed with exactly this procedure on my ARC (LT15)

HUGE THANKS TO my friends Bin4ry and Androxyde to implement these changes so quickly!!!

What options did you use?
I checked Wipe User Data, Wipe cache and No Final Verification on the updated Flashtool. Everything works perfectly. it is faster than Gingerbread minus supercharger. I am however experiencing overheating while on long calls. Dont know if it is due to the update or hotter weather today! Colder country mates, please confirm!

just to make sure...

Ok folks, I have an LT15i, locked bootloader but rooted. (Hungarian T-Mobile, but it's debranded and with a generic firmware)
I have LT15i_4.0.A.2.368_Generic Global fw flashed with flashtool already.

Can I flash this now with ease?

I understand I need Flashtool 0.7 and those steps according to doomed151's guide to solve the partitioning problem, right?

That's it?? Thanks

If I flashed using 0.6.9.1 flashtool, using the 3 step method poster here earlier, should I reflash using the new 0.7? Will I get proper partitions? Or is it the same thing?

Ok I undersand now I have this files:

LT18_4.1.A.0.562_Nordic.ftf, that it bad ?

I took it yestersday in first post. Now I must take the news one:

LT18_4.1.A.0.562_NCB.ftf

It's the problem ? we really need to check the "wipe user data" box ? it erase our own files. Need to check the "wipe cache" box too ?
