Its easy to make it 24 + hours.. shut off all major services ..barely use the phone.. don't turn on internet at all.. don't use GPS...dim the screen very low.. basically almost don't use the phone at all lol but what purpose does a 600$ phone serve if your just gonna let it sit there and watch it for a day or two...

I agree. But he had 3h+ of on screen time with 2 days. Unless he had it at 0% bright ess sync off, and gps off, and wifi off, and data off, and and just about everything off this is pretty nice. Ivuse my device too much to get any idle time. My screen is also on 100% brightness. What's the point of the beautiful screen if you can't use it?

screen is on auto brightness i toggle wifi on and off when when making calls and surfing the internet and turn 4g on when tethering.
im coming from a captivate where i go could go a whole week without having to charge it if i only used it for phone calls using wifi 4-5 days. 2 days of battery life is nuttin special

4g and sync always on and I even had nfc on the whole day. I mostly text, occasionally play some games, little browsing, lots of emails..
Actually, I did have wifi on for about an hour or so today in order to browse some files on my server.

This is still with the same setup as before. It just seems my battery has finally broken in. This is with auto sync on. Screen brightness on auto. Wifi always on and data always on. This is the longest screen on time I've gotten and I'm officially in love.
Fgs3 rom r5 and trinity kernel 43 (I think I don't remember) and cpu sleeper app (I guess this works?).
What do you guys think?

Sorry to hijack this thread but I noticed that you had FF3 on there. How is it working out for you? I'm on the fence about spending $16 on 20+ year old game

It's brilliant it's actually the same game that the nintendo ds got back in 2006. And believe me it is worth every single penny

I'm getting 6+ hours with ~5 hours of screen time.
Slight aside, I had to get a replacement phone, which meant unrooting and reverting to stock the first SGS3 I had. I made sure it was fully charged, then tossed it in a drawer, when I took it out to ship it back ~48 hours later it still had ~20% battery left, admittedly this was without a sim card in and WiFi was off, so no radios going and no screen time...

Sweet! youre going to love them, I just got 2 of those for less than $16 in Amazon. Just make sure you let it discharge completly and then fully charge again about 2-3 times, then you'll see it really do its thing

Yep see a few posts up for some details on my setup. Only one gmail account syncing, black wallpaper, Google now disabled, 25% brightness. And my screen on time is XDA, browsing, messaging, and other activity that's pretty easy on the battery (ie no gaming or movies).

Yes it does. Only downside is no nfc, if you use that. I dont.

Not a hater... just know how to read battery stats. You must have the only battery in the world that gets more juice from being used vs every other battery that drains as it's used.
