No such issue here. Have sent and received about 10 calls now with no issues. Call sound quality isn't as good as WM but more than usable providing there isn't too much background noise.

Reminds me a bit of an iPhone at the moment, the call quality and volume on those has always been pretty bad. Except they have stayed bad, I fully expect this to be improved.

is there a build where phone calls actually work? if you use a dualboot program, will the haret boot on-top of WinMobile or by itself?

I apologize if these have been answered before and appreciate a straight to the point answer.

The Froyo build has a working phone.

Boots but doesnt Load

I am reposting this again because there were no answers to my previous post.

I have a fresh new HD2, 2.10.50 Radio. When running Froyo i get a gsod, when running the other build I get the Android Animation of a swirling 'X' that is continuous and flashes a yellow screen periodically. It never loads into Android Home Screen. Any Ideas????

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KUDM733C - Froyo build. Make sure you copy the Android folder and it's contained files to the root of your memory card, you don't copy individual files to the root as you had to previously.

Can't help with the dual-boot question, haven't used it so far.

The dual boot will boot windows, start itself and the start Haret before windows can Start sense (which is now important)

few pluses and minuses of the most used builds

Froyo:
+ Working phone
- Not fully working 3G (Android market doesn't work via 3G, and browser cannot find any site)

Desire
+ Fully working 3g (Market, browser Everything)
+ HTC Sense
- Sound in phone not working

Therefore i hope they will put their heads together and create one build with sense and one without it, but with same kernel, with the advantages of both

I've tested serveral Andorid Versions (Cotullas / Desire) and they are getting better and better! Great progress!!

But since i'm playing around with this... i recognized that in android the well known Touchscreen Bug is back.

It's very exhausting to writ with the software keyboard. Like on WM the first days without the sensitivity-patch.

Is in possible to reduce the sensitivit of the Touchscreen (like in WM) in Android? That would be great!

Agreed. And fixing the power management and battery issue would be good too. My main wish now is to know what power is left in the battery, be able to charge it from Android and for this heat issue to be resolved.

Also, after using the plain vanilla 2.2 Froyo build, I'd say having no Sense is actually an advantage. If I owned a Desire, the first thing I would now do is remove Sense and effectively turn it into a Nexus One.

While I can get phone calls to work on the Froyo build it sounds like a tiny robot on the other end. Any ideas?

Seems to be a few issues receiving calls though - the screen stays blank so there is no way of knowing who is calling.

It's getting there. The development speed is amazing.

EDIT - it seems the screen staying blank was a one off, it now wakes up fine. Also, the screen on receiving calls now works too.

No matter which build I use I can not get the mic and speaker to work for phone calls.

I can running the CLRCAD.exe before I boot android, is there a piece I'm missing, a setting, etc

I'm using a 1024leo with 2.10 radio

there are so many factors, maybe flash another radio and try again, or wait for a new build,

I don't know what to suggest, it works fine on mine and I have rebooted it a handful of times too. I take it you copied the Android folder containing the files to the root of the memory stick rather than the individual files themselves? Quite a few people seem to have made this mistake, this Froyo build is run from inside the Android folder.

Well after almost all other major issues have been solved by now (3G fully working in Desire, Phone sound n Froyo build), this should probably by be the focus of the developers right now (after bringing all the updates into the main). And then only Ambient Light sensor (and backlight), Proximity sensor (don't whther this one's working or not) GPS, Camera and NAND. But after fixing the power and backlight issue it's going to be ready for everyday use.

Thank you developers, this is huge amount of work done in so few days, your work is amazing keep it up

i'm going to donate as soon as my salary comes

Desire 3.7? http://gamesquare.co.uk/desire.html here is only v3, what am i Missing? (actually the desire v3 is very stable, haven't a problem with it was running half a day without a crash or freeze (heave games playing and heavy internet usage))

I was using the Desire build and previous, I'm going to try the Froyo now, and yes
