Sorry, I'm near falling asleep on my keyboard.

Badseed Tranquil 4.1
ElementalX Kernel min 384000/2052000
Scheduler CFQ
Seeder enabled
Rom Toolbox SD Booster 4096

Could probably get it higher if I went to the full 2.2ghz of the kernel but I'm too tired >.<

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
Stock Rom/Kernel: CPU: 4x 1728 Mhz
GPU: 400 Mhz
TrickDroid 8.0.0/ElementalX 2.1:
CPU: UC 4x 1566 Mhz
GPU: OC 450 Mhz

Running cool (5° lower)

I tried different Kernel but this is absolutely the best, so far!!
Better score and smoother with uc(!)

(First Stock, then Custom)

... so maximum permitted by kernel but I am sure CPU and, especially GPU could go upper

Hi,
It's quite here... (I remember the benchmark thread in the Nexus 4 section...:D).

Same rom / kernel as above for me, just with a different governor: tweaked Ondemand governor (not for battery life, I don't care about battery life) and tweaked hotplug settings. Not a single lag in general UI and apps like XDA app :)D) and good benchmarks for this CPU freq:

Hotplug settings:

My goal is not extreme battery life but (extreme speed) and smoothness. These settings are mine, maybe note yours ;). So don't takes these settings as an example for you, it depends on your goal / use...

I'll test with stock CPU frequency (so 1.72 Ghz), I test with this CPU freq because... I don't know, I like the 1.5 Ghz step to compare with my other phones (yes, I know not the same CPU :D).

It would be great if this thread could be like the benchmark thread in the Nexus 4 section... fun! (where is Simms22:confused::D:cool::))

And please no "benchmarks are useless", and "benchmarks means nothing", etc... Some elite recognized kernel dev's use benchs... :D. This thread is only a bench thread, nothing else so let the people played :D

It depends of the benchs you use, how you interprete them (like the i/o scores in Quadrant :D), and how you explain them (kernel / rom / CPU-GPU settings / tweaks, etc...

Post your benchs and have fun!

:)

Hi,

Another benchs at 1.56 Ghz, but with a different kernel and some different settings...

ROM: Insertcoin 3.0.4
Kernel: ElementalX-m7-2.7 *BETA*

Settings: see screenshots :D

And yes my phone use mostly the 1.56 Ghz slot... I don't care about battery life, I like perfs, smoothness, speed, etc...

About the thermal configuration I run my own settings (hotter than the "hot settings" in Aroma installer that came with the kernel ( I'm currently running at 68 / 74 / 80 / 88, about 3 °C more than the "run hot" settings with this kernel).
Also, maybe, the i/o scheduler plays its role, before I used mainly a tweaked Deadline, I'm for now with Fiops...

Here're the benchs (the Antutu score really increases with this kernel as my previous setup (maybe the Linaro 4.8 compilation stuff dixit the kernel's dev, or my hotter thermal settings which prevent premature thermal throttling):D:cool:):

Obviously all is fine with this kernel, (incedebly) fast and smooth, with a lot of features... And benchs are awesome, since we are in a bench thread :D

:)

Hi,

Nice score at this CPU freq!:cool:

This CM 10.2 build have the Bionic patches added by LorD ClockaN, right?
Is it this build: cm-10.2-20130807-UNOFFICIAL-m7ul_bionic?

:)

Noob to Android question. How do I post photo here from my screenshots in Gallery?
I can't select from upload link on this thread, and I can't cut and paste.

yes correct. Nice build

Hi,

Ok :)

Could you post a Quadrant score please (not necessarily a full bench, unless you have the free version, but just the CPU/memory part)?

Thanks :)

EDIT:

Insertcoin rom+Teamseven kernel.
Bench at 1.56 Ghz with SIO i/o scheduler.
Ondemand governor with agressive settings and same thing for the Hotplug settings.
Modified build.prop for the dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags (yes, it changes the scores in Quadrant and Cf-Bench at least :D):

Quadrant, for the CPU and memory part only:

And Cf-Bench, to compare between this one and my previous Cf-Bench at the same CPU freq:

For both, about 1000 points more for the CPU part at 1.56 Ghz. In general UI, maybe some applications open a little faster than with the stock dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags...

So what....? Go to any forum on XDA and you'll find at least one Benchmark thread for each device. ....and you'll always have that one hater that tries to spoil it for everyone else. You were just nominated :silly:

I personally don't mind these threads even though it doesn't really pertain to real life performance. But still cool to look at.

No They are are all of the forum. I know because I close them myself due to having no real point. Benchmarks are the most useless thing when it comes to phones. I can make a rom that blows every benchmark out of the water but runs like crap. As there is no real development purpose threads like this are normally not allowed and only clutter up an already cluttered forum.
