OK so you are not overclocked at all. But are you using FXP Kernel or kCernel? I and many others have had issues with using FXP kernel for some reason, I suggest kCernel.

Also, I am on Baseband .71 if you don't use it try it.

I assume you have tried fix permissions? Aroma installer sometimes install bad too, make sure you check for "Status (0)" after install or if the Reboot Prompt freezes, install the ROM again. It seems to happen mostly if you manually format system or data before running the update zip.

Some new fixes due for V7 -

- GPS Fixed, using stock-like gps.conf for X10. Fresh install, install Google Maps, lock within fifteen seconds to 6 meter accuracy (expected delay while syncing AGPS). Still needs to be tested, for those with knowledge the gps.conf file is attached.
- HWLED FIX ZIP is no longer needed. It's all automatic, when you first boot you need to reboot again and it'll be installed. An M&M Team MiUI exclusive for the X10

- Phone app delay (e.g. calling from screen off) fixed
- Set CPU clock and Governor in new "Performance" section in MiUI settings
- Some other small things I can't remember right now

I went through some more stuff that might need fixing, or are not ideals. These are just minor glitches that i feel would be nice if we can get them worked,

When phone is rotated, it gets slow to rearrange items, might be golauncher, but just letting you know, maybe someone else can tell if they experience the same stuff.

Dialer takes a while to open, it should be highest priority, it lags to 4-5 seconds black screen, it would be ideal if it's instant. (same for phonebook and maybe even messaging app)

I use a lockscreen from the miui Themes setting, when my phone is idle, and i switch it on, it shows my home screen instead of the lockscreen for about 1-2 seconds, and then it shows lockscreen, it should ideally be going straight to lockscreen.

That's it. all the things i saw i have notified here lol. Looking forward to v7

im on kcernel bb 71 .. and i didnt try fix permissions

i will try it ,, but for now no black screen yet only the browser problem

that i cant play vedio on it

I think it is a combination of the extremely-heavy Go Launcher and also the lagfree script. I mentioned before that the Phone app has been fixed but needs more testing on my end (i.e. restore all my apps from backup) but I will check out contacts and messaging too. Please do some testing for me, make a backup of Go Launcher settings (the inbuilt one, not via TB) and try using Zeam Launcher or ADW Launcher for a while. See if the lockscreen delay is any faster.

Oh it only does it when you play video. When you go to "Flash Settings" in the menu, does it actually come up with options? If no, please try to reinstall it. If yes, please try playing flash video in a different browser. I personally use Opera but I know many people don't like it because it is huge.... but its the fastest browser there is (even faster than Boat Browser in my experience).

EDIT: If you restored Flash Player from a TB backup that will cause Flash to not work. I have discovered long ago that apps like Facebook and Adobe Flash must always be reinstalled from Market and that Restoring them from TB never work right.

Thanks Dan. I´m gonna add this in the starting post, too. Please just report any problems after you did the following:

you followed the instructions one by one
especially you did a clean install and wipped everything
you didn´t restore any data with Titanium Backup

As Dan said; Flash isn´t working, for example, and Facebook is invisible or is at least not syncing when you restore data. But this isn´t a fault of the ROM and just lead into missunderstanding that we are curious why some users have some weird problems.

umm... a little technical point here....

actually you can restore such apps using tb... but ...

the problem is with libs...

if you ever happen to open the apk file with winrar or 7zip you'll find /assets/libs folder... those need to be transferred to /system/lib if you REALLY want to restore from a backup and not download it from market again

reinstalling is always best....but even if you restore....try restoring without data...and btw,

inside your titanium folder you'll find apk of your required app...you can just open using file explorer and install that

i was thinking kCernel is not sounding all that catchy.... can you suggest any other name....well ofcourse...do that on my kernel thread and not spam here

I don't think it's a libs issue, that's outside the scope. If you install Facebook from market it does not touch system... they stay in data partition. Otherwise Facebook would need root privledges! It also happens with e.g. Clocksync which has no libs, you need to reinstall from market otherwise the automatic time updates will never be strict intervals.

I've spoken to the author of TB about this quite some time ago, the issue is database migration and package registration when moving between ROM's. But even if you re-instal the exact same ROM, the fingerprints dont match. TB creators have tried over and over again to fix it but it's a "bug" (security feature) in the Android OS. Apparently it's been addressed in ICS though.

Anyway, if you want to restore data via TB when trying a new ROM, sometimes it is better to switch to Interactive Restore Method in TB settings. This is for this reason, it uses native Android Package Installer instead of TB "Direct Injection" methods.

I remember seeing a newish Backup/Restore app on the Market recently designed for ROOT phones that mentioned it can replace the stock PackageManager with it's own, more robust and faster version; I wanted to try it for things like Flash and Facebook which never restore right. But I just tried to find it and couldn't

Hi M&M team so as Cosmic said, i tried to change the launcher, i had 3 launchers running, Launcher, Go Launcher and Xperia Home. I tested both Xperia Home and Launcher, and they were extremly faster than the Go Launcher i was using. It might be conflicts or it might just be too large memory footprint, but the message and phone opening issue is solved with Xperia Home.
The issue with Launcher is that it lacks the "app tray", i know some people love it that way, but it's a no no for me, i can't handle all those apps on my screens, and moving them in the folders is also an hassle.

So maybe v7, we can have directions to remove "launcher" and install our own launcher, specially xperia Home, since the only down side in that one is that the slide down action and slide up action like in GO launcher is lost, but we also gain the xperia apps, which are pretty cool.

I find zeam to be the best launcher for miui on our x10 since the low memory of the phone I think that zeam is one of the faster launchers. FasterThanLight launcher is also pretty fast but lacks some features of zeam.

Yes I am also not a big fan of MiUI Launcher, it is very fast but it lacks the App Drawer and tries to be like iPhone, and the Widget Picker is no good either.... it's easy to use but not very powerful... we will have to leave Launcher in the ROM because we need at least one launcher on system and it's best to use the stock/native one. The user can simply install Zeam or ADW or whatever and switch that to their new default. You can then "clear data" for MiUI Launcher and it will never use memory.

FYI, I am looking into an "Extended" MIUI Launcher modification but I don't think it will make it in time for V7. We are focusing on bugfixes for V7

EDIT: There is a app here on XDA to add an App Drawer to any launcher including MiUI ;D this is one mod that I hope to test, here it is if anyone wants to try - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1154299

EDIT2: The one flaw with that ALTDRAWER Mod is that it cannot automatically hide the icons from MiUI Launcher desktop. I may write a script which does this for us automatically, but it will either constantly run in the background or require a reboot. I think I will leave this for V8 otherwise V7 will be delayed even more

EDIT3: For those who want an MiUI-like Launcher with an AppDrawer, try QQLauncher on the market. It looks rather lovely and claims to be light but I have not tried it.

The last thing (on my list anyway) to fix for v7 is the Lagfree script. It crashes out halfway through. Compared to the current new Lagfree script for the i9000, this thing is HUGE. We don't need a good chunk of the stuff in there... but I will just bugfix it anyway and leave it as is.

The miui stock launcher is fast and does what's needed for most, I'm a miui purest and without it the settings for launcher will force close giving more people a reason to complain.

Precisely. As I mentioned, MiUI design goals are that you don't need any custom apps for a Launcher, Contacts, Gallery, Music, and so on. I myself am slowly getting used to it. Eventually we may work on enhancing the stock MiUI launcher with some of the known modification, for example - customizing rows/columns (which is a must for me, I prefer smaller and more icons).

The MiUI Launcher should not be removed, it is the native launcher for MiUI and thus it stays.

With that said, we will try to address the needs of all MiUI fans in v8 (after the next release, very close now)

there will be a detailed FAQ with the next release, and in v8 the Aroma installer will be expanded with more customizations to suit all needs

Anywho, here's a couple of teasers for the next imminent release:

CMParts integration in the System Menu, allowing you to change CPU clock and compcache settings, among other things, without a third party app:

Automatic Brightness settings are now disabled (greyed-out) because (1) They are useless for the X10's ambient light sensor being tied to LCD hardware only, and (2) They are dangerous for the new Automatic HW-LED fix that installs itself after a reboot

Brightness is changeable via notification pulldown toggles as usual, and the hardware-based ambient light adjustments work as normal.

Current changelog for v7, this is from my end only - the rest of the team is yet to see this! If you disagree with any of these changes please let us know here ASAP!

          yourself what to link to sd-ext. Linking everything from /data to sd-ext is a bad idea anyway.
- GPS.conf file updated, reflecting original X10 configuration but with Google SUPL server. Nice and fast!
    - If you don't get a lock in Google Maps within 15-30 seconds of fresh install (and much faster after this 
      first lock), your provider doesn't provide XTRA data. Use "Faster Fix" and "GPS Status" from Play Store. 
- Added some new build.prop settings that should help with 3G(+) and A-GPS connections
- New Automatic HWLED Fix. Do NOT flash any of the old enable/disable ZIP's or you will ruin the ROM!
    - You have to reboot once (1 more time after first boot) for the HWLED patch to be enabled
- Removed the option to turn on Automatic Brightness (after a reboot) because it does nothing for our X10's
  hardware-tied ambient light sensor and changing them is dangerous due to the new Auto HW-LED Fix
- Removed TelocationProvider app and database, this eats network and cpu and is a data miner only useful for Emergency
  services in PRC. It also made GPS more responsive in my own tests.

Flasy LED? Do you mean the FLASH for Camera? It works already for CM7 camera but not MIUI Camera.

Huh.... in the new version, maybe it does in V6 when installed right too, both the camera apps take photo's fine. Horray for accidental bug fixes! But still the CM7 Camera, while it doesn't look as nice as MiUI one, works much better.

music player crashes

awesome rom dude..everything works flawlessly..the only issue i am having is that the music player is causing a WLOD..not all of the time but sometimes..weird..
