I was reading other post, he said Abyss 4.2 is only for GB? If I have LP1, ICS, can still flash Abyss 4.2? It will be nice to have CWM app to restore and backup :D

To make backup, no you don't need to be on Redpill, only if you want to restore then flash Abyss 4.2..[/QUOTE]

Yes Abyss in GB only, for now there is only one kernel for all ICS ROMs out there..

I said flash Abyss just only if you want to restore backup while you're on ICS as a work around because the leak kernel can mess up restoring backups..

Go to download mode and flash stock firmware with pc odin. Should be ok.

If not

You might need to:
-Remove battery for a few seconds and load it back
-Go to recovery and clear cache, dalvick and data/factory reset

Flash stock again with PC ODIN + PIT + re-partition option

Camera and Gallery Help

I would like to stay on this ROM, but I prefer the Samsung Camera & Gallery Apps. I was wondering if there is any way to switch them out. I've tried replacing the Camera & Gallery apks in System/app, but that didn't work. It doesn't recognize the apps as being installed and they disappear from my dock. Also, I just tried clicking on them to run a normal installation and it says install failed.

Anyone know how I can flash those APKs? Thanks!

Answered billion of times.....You can not use this applications. They are framework dependent (tw framework ie samsung rom) and they can not ( or it is very very hard) imported

To enable/disable Tablet mode i must use same file from version6 ?

There's an app called "AOSP Tweaker" which is linked from the OP that lets you change back and forth between tablet and phone modes. I just tried it and it's working for me. Thanks emptynick!

Here's a quote from the OP as it stands now...
Tweaker app - http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=23260664&postcount=1
I imagine the location of this app may change in the future so check the OP to be sure.
...
This might be a stupid question, but is there a way to unlink the Ringtone volume from the Notification volume?
...
So far as I've heard there isn't a way to change the notification and ringer volumes independently. Supposedly "they" changed something in Android 4, at least that's what some app in Play said in the description. Here's what I did as a workaround...

There are tons of apps in the Google Play Store that will let you edit MP3s and whatnot to turn them into ringtones/notification tones. Some will let you adjust the volume as well. Many of them have permissions that I don't agree with though. Here's one that did what I needed and doesn't ask to read my texts in the process...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hermanjulie.ringpod

Find your notification tone (or ringtone, whatever) in that app, click the lil' green down-arrow button, choose Edit, tap the speaker button, and turn the volume down (or up) with the big slider. Save as a new file (I added the suffix "quieter" to the file name) then go and choose the quieter file in the settings.

I looked if someone had spoken of callrec but I found nothing ... is that this function is not possible on this rom or radio ?
...
Sorry to only offer a tiny bit of help, but I do recall someone talking about that somewhere on this thread. Try searching some more. Maybe terms like "record call" or "record button" would help...

OK, OK, I found the post to which I was referring...
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=23861123&highlight=+record+button+#post23861123

YMMV, I haven't tried doing whatever that person said to do... I also imagine his post was made before v7 was released, perhaps things have changed? I dunno. :)

I'm really loving this ROM but was a little saddened to see that there is no tablet mode for v07 yet. I was also pretty confused on what I needed to do in order to get this running at 160DPI (native tablet mode) perfectly without FC's and *with* working Calendar Syncing.

As a result I figured all of this out and wrote the following guide:

1.) Download the following and copy them to your internal SD:

- The original v07 ZIP - http://download.imilka.eu/
- Google ICS Apps - http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
- Download Phone FC Fix - http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=23901070&postcount=256

2.) Reboot to CWM
3.) Factory Reset + Wipe Cache + Wipe Dalvik Cache
4.) Flash the v07 ZIP, Google ICS Apps, Phone FC Fix
5.) Reboot phone
6.) Download and Open "ROM Toolbox" (free version is fine) from "Play Store"
7.) Select "Performance" tab -> build.prop Tweaks -> LCD Density -> 160 -> Apply -> No (to the reboot prompt)
8.) Select "build.prop Editor" this time -> Tap the pencil icon (top corner) -> Add the following line:

ro.build.characteristics=tablet

(Now may also be a good time to change ro.product.locale.region so that you can see apps for your region - for me (UK) this would be "GB")

I believe those values are case sensitive too so be careful! :)

9.) Tap Save -> Menu button (hardware key) -> Reboot

Your Galaxy Note should now be running Android 4.0.4 in tablet mode with working phone.

This worked perfectly for me, though I use 200dpi not 160.

A "doom button" has been mentioned for tablet mode. One person called it the "notifications toggle" and another called it the "notification".

What button should I avoid pressing? Also, what does it do to the phone?

On tablet mode of v07, there is a potential doom button on the notification bar..the notifications toggle..the only way I know of getting the phone to work once that button is pressed is a wipe..is there any way to make this button disappear?

Wait i have a problem. i accidentally press the notification. i always get error. dont know hot to get back

    Hello :)

I really don't like TouchWiz at all, so, when the first ICS sources became available, I started porting AOSP to our device.

There are still some major and many minor bugs, but ROM seems to be stable and usable.
Please look for buglist below, so you can decide, do you need to flash it or not.
I'll try to fix those bugs as soon as possible, so please, don't ask when something will be fixed, I really don't know :)

Description: This is clean and clear ICS (4.0.3) without any modifications. This is not CM, just AOSP. It may be used with tablet or with phone UI.

    • MINOR: Stock USB Mass Storage mounts only internal SD - use some mount app from Market to mount both cards.

    @netchip

Sorry, but it's starting to annoy me a bit.

Please, if you have something to share with me - some bugfix or some thoughts - pm me.
But I don't care when you will release your build, when you will send it to your testers etc.
I don't want it to be posted here. If you want to discuss your own build - start your own thread. If you want to help me in development - pm me if you think you have something.

    Thank you.

    So, here's v07 - IMM76D 4.0.4 now.

    Changelog:

    1. Full rebuild based on 4.0.4 AOSP source code
    2. Fixed video recording up to 1080p.
    3. Changed to opensource OMX codecs by CM9 team, thanks a lot for your hard work guys.
    4. Fixed phone call screen bug
    5. Fixed settings FC in tablet mode (again yep)
    6. Added fonts for Phorostop touch, Kindle and other
    7. Removed NFC and apps depending on it such as Wallet.

Unfortunately, bug with stock mass storage mounting only internal partition remains.
I decided not to change it because I'm working on MTP and it's nearly fixed.

Please note - I've rebuilt nearly everything from stock, so there may be some hidden bugs I haven't noticed - report them please.

Ah, and the last thing - All additional archives such as tabletenable, and other AREN'T compatible with v07!
I'll make correct zips for tablet, capacitive buttons, etc soon.

    Full wipe recommended.

    Download:

    http://download.imilka.eu

I recommend you to download torrent version, but I also mirrored v07 to mediafire for those who can't or don't like to download via torrent.
