I'm really loving this ROM but was a little saddened to see that there is no tablet mode for v07 yet. I was also pretty confused on what I needed to do in order to get this running at 160DPI (native tablet mode) perfectly without FC's and *with* working Calendar Syncing.
As a result I figured all of this out and wrote the following guide:
1.) Download the following and copy them to your internal SD:
- The original v07 ZIP -
http://download.imilka.eu/
- Google ICS Apps -
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
- Download Phone FC Fix -
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=23901070&postcount=256
2.) Reboot to CWM
3.) Factory Reset + Wipe Cache + Wipe Dalvik Cache
4.) Flash the v07 ZIP, Google ICS Apps, Phone FC Fix
5.) Reboot phone
6.) Download and Open "ROM Toolbox" (free version is fine) from "Play Store"
7.) Select "Performance" tab -> build.prop Tweaks -> LCD Density -> 160 -> Apply -> No (to the reboot prompt)
8.) Select "build.prop Editor" this time -> Tap the pencil icon (top corner) -> Add the following line:
ro.build.characteristics=tablet
(Now may also be a good time to change ro.product.locale.region so that you can see apps for your region - for me (UK) this would be "GB")
I believe those values are case sensitive too so be careful!
9.) Tap Save -> Menu button (hardware key) -> Reboot
Your Galaxy Note should now be running Android 4.0.4 in tablet mode with working phone.
