Cant enter flash/fastboot mode

I have tried every way to enter fastboot on this thread volume up plus power, volume down plus power, both volumes and plugging in usb and no matter what the tablet won't enter fastboot, nor will rktools recognize it. what am I doing wrong? I even tried adb commands to enter fastboot and it didn't work


edit: the problem was windows 10. this tool does not work on windows 10 in any form. switched over to an old windows 7 laptop and worked first try.

I was encountering similar issues as you encountered. But doing the following gave me at least a rooted NX785QC8G Nextbook.
It is now: with 4 GB storage that can be used for app installation, Android 4.4.2.

What I did: using Windows 7 SP 1 64bit (Intel i5)and a USB 2.0 port! I think the 2.0 USB port (instead of 3.0 USB port) is the key aspect.

Hiya, I have never rooted my tablet before or updated it's firmware i wanted know if this rom would work for my tablet i still have android 4.2.2 on it wanting upgrade it
can't post screen shots but i can tell info model nx785qc8g, android 4.2.2 build v3.0.16.jdq39.eng.root.20140517.174251

i read most of all of this form, i read Instructions in zip, i know few forum pages give better info can't remember what numbers on form they where in.

few pointers would be nice right now feel bit lost how to begin. peace zuki.

can someone please upload ShaunMT files for Nextbook NX785QC8G-NXM865FD_WMDE Please i am unable to find the files, trying to get them from FreakTab but all files have been removed i am getting 403 forbidden and other times it is saying Sorry we are gone, so if someone has these file please upload for me.

Missing Nand Flash

Dear Oma,

First of all, thank you for the ROM.

After flashing the ROM, my NAND FLash Storage went missing. Internal storage is here with a total space of 3.94gb, sd card storage is 2.51gb, and nand flash is missing. How can i fix this? Thanks! :)

- to get full access to the build enable /system rw in File Manager HD
- to disable su notifications change notification in settings/SuperSu
- to prettify the build use Xposed Framework > Starter Pack
- to enable multi-user use the Xposed module Multi Users

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware
works as I don't have the tablet to fully test the custom firmware.

    Just picked one of these up from Walmart. So far, not a bad tablet for the price. Their website is reporting it will have a KitKat update on July 15, 2014.

    Rooting instructions for Nextbook 8 Quad Core (NX785QC8G).

    1. Connect to PC via USB, enable USB debugging on tablet, then use Cydia Impactor to create ADB device Driver. (USB>Driver Scan>Create Driver).
    2. While connected USB, use Kingo after device driver is installed to complete rooting.

    Please post any Rom/Mod information on this thread. There's really no other resource available currently for this tab on XDA.

    Found some time to do a quick update to bypass the 8 GB NAND bottleneck ;)

    Mount points are changed which will make up to 32 GB space available for apps and app data. The internal storage is now 4 GB.
    Also I touched the footprint of the build to make it wide compatible for apps in the Play Store.

    Ok, let us have a deeper look into the firmware.

    Download a Terminal Emulator from Play Store. Boot the tab fresh and type:
