Default Kindle Fire or View 4G?

I have a brand new set of Beats by Dre headphones that I wont ever use and I have an offer to trade them for a View 4G and another offer to trade for a Kindle Fire. Which would you choose? My only concern is the age of the View compared to the Fire, but I am a huge fan of HTC and their flexibility in modding.

Well the view is a full tablet. That's why I chose mine.

The view is a much, much better device. The kindle will likely have more future development

Default I Like HTC

I agree with mcord11758. I just made the View decision over a Galaxy 7 2. The HTC is a very solid box. I am running a customer HC ROM. I have only had it for a week, but I am quite happy with it.

The Fire will, no doubt receive further attention from Amazon.

How important is the camera for you? 5MP not all that powerful, but beats 0MP.

I already own 2 Nooks, a color and a tablet. The view performs in the same ball park as the tablet, even though the NT is a dual core processor.

If it were my choice I would go with the HTC. Seems that we will see, at least, ICS through the XDA group.

The Kindle Fire was my first tablet. I bought it new about three months ago and it definitely wet my appetite for another tablet. For the price, it is a great device. The development is decent and it gets the job done. Currently, developers are working on a kernel that would make ICS more stable and once they make that breakthrough there will be a lot more ROMs to choose from.

I recently bought a Flyer from the Marketplace here. I've only had it for a week but I have already fallen in love with it. The hardware feels much more solid than the Fire. Even though the Fire has more processing speed, it only has 512mb of RAM which could be an issue down the road. The screen on the Flyer is a little nicer (IMO) and the cameras are a nice feature (even if they're not the best). The biggest drawback to the Fire for me was the lack of a MicroSD slot. With only 8gb of storage, you're limited to what you can take with you if you go on a trip.

The Fire is a good 'starter' tablet but I would definitely recommend the Flyer over it.
