Does this update format /data? If so, can you upload a version that doesn't for updates that arent installing fresh

This version is the full ROM, so will format /data. We're working on a 1.2 update zip to keep /data as it is. Shouldn't be too long :)

What kernel are you using? Wifi is set to work with DooMLoRD's Advanced Stock kernel.

Newest Facebook app is included, Timescape mod in post #2 should work fine

same thing from last update with the RAM. something is eating it up.
I'd suggest this is an app you've installed, as no testers have experienced this. You might want to check the running apps and what's using the battery etc

Yes, Wifi is not working for me also, it cannot turn o

Using DoomLord Advanced Stock Kernel and Baseband 64.
This is the same one I was using with KA11 and KA12 both.

During install, I had first done Factory Reset, then installed this ROM.
The Kernel was already on the phone.

Hmm strange, that kernel and baseband is my exact setup. Are you familiar with adb? If so can I ask you to run 2 commands and provide the output:

If you run:

Code:
adb shell ls -l /system/lib/modules/

and upload the output to http://pastie.org/.

Then if you could try toggling the wifi on and off (both via the notification toggle and the wifi menu in Settings) and the run this:

Code:
adb logcat

and again upload the output to http://pastie.org/.

That will allow us to get to see what wifi modules are on your phone and the log of what happens when you enable wifi. This will hopefully help us get to the bottom of why you're experiencing this problem :)

wow thanks alot for the new update, its great and so much better than the previous update. :D
a quick question why did you use option 10 for the supercharger? i thought that option 6 or 7 was the best for the xplay because it only has 512 mb ram
anyways, great rom, its really fast and im glad that youve fixed all the bugs. This is definitely going to be my daily driver.:)

Another thing to add is that the RAM usage seems a bit high, I always see it uses 221MB and only shows 120-150MB of Free RAM where I used to have 180-200.

This is without any apps installed on this ROM after flashing.

The Recent Apps + AOSP look though is amazing I must say.

That's perfect, thanks! :D This is the problem:

Code:
bcm4329: version magic '2.6.32.9-DooMKernel preempt mod_unload ARMv7 ' should be '2.6.32.9-perf preempt mod_unload ARMv7 '

if you could run one last command please:
Code:
adb shell uname -a

Thanks again :)

Aah problem solved! I suggest flashing DooMLoRD's ICSBeta kernel from here instead: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1573184

And I'll stop being an idiot and recommending the wrong kernel! :p

Sorry about that, guess I should have noted that we changed those wifi drivers!

This is a custom ROM based on the official Xperia Play beta released by Sony. This uses a full AOSP theme, with the Sony framework, so it can still be used for gaming with the touchpads. The custom performance improvements should show a noticeable increase in usability and speed, but still keep good battery life.

If you appreciate the effort or use this ROM, please thank both Atarii (this post) and thomassafca (post #2 below) as this is a team effort, with both working on it equally :)

    [ Update v1.2: ]

The 1.2 update is now available! This should have great improvements to the speed and the stability of the ROM. The V6 SuperCharger script really improves the speed and smoothness and no more random reboots were experienced during the testing! This was due to a lower value we used for the DalvikVM (hoping to improve multitasking), but actually degraded it. We're really happy now with the speed of this ROM and hope you guys notice the change too! :)

Included in this update is the new reboot menu, allowing reboot into recovery/fastboot from the menu. Hot reboot is a dirty method and not recommended ;p Also included is the HTC Sense 4 style recent apps menu. 1.2 update screenshots:
