For some stupid reasons, I deleted my installed custom rom via custom recovery. Then i rebooted with a prompt "No OS is installed, do you want to reboot?" I swipe to reboot then i'm stuck at Google screen. I'm already downloading the toolkit. Can someone please help me. Will I use the toolkit when my nexus 7 is in bootloader mode? ( Power button + volume down) And i think i haven't installed my drivers. Can i install drivers of nexus 7 without having to plug my device when it's working normally? Please someone help me.
You can install the fast boot drivers in fast boot mode so your OK provided you can still use fast boot, and this is the joy its all most impossible to break (soft ware wise)!
So anyway, download the kit, select option 1 to install the drivers to PC, follow instructions, then when you have finished choose the option to download and flash factory rom. Follow the instructions the toolkit provides. When you have finished it will work again. Next time remember to take a nandroid before you start messing around

PLEASE upload a mirror. I don't understand why people like using Goo.Im. I can't get download speeds of over 5 KB/s.
I think the bad speeds and unstable connection with goo.im may be partly down to their move and upgrade plans. I have uploaded all the model files and recovery files to skipsoft servers which has a much higher download speed and immediate connection. The option to download from skipsoft.net or goo.im is already in the Auto Update version but I will try to build a public version soon to add those options. This = Truth! Getting horendous speeds. I would download from elsewhere and put it into the folder if i knew which fiiles to get and where to put them.
I appreciate the offer when I start re-writing the Toolkit soon I will think about adding translations.@mskip
Is there any need in help on behalf of translating the program in other languages? Maybe I could translate it in Russian, would help a lot of users who don't know English very well

Hello Folks,
I have the 3G version of Nexus 7 and am trying to root the device. I have already unlocked the bootloader, but keep getting the following error while trying to root the device:
Removing old root files [if present] for stability..
If you get 6 'rm failed' messages no root files are present on your system
rm failed for /system/bin/su, No such file or directory
Would appreciate if someone could help..
Thanks
There is a chance you still were successfully rooted. The error you are getting are from the installer script trying to clean things up a bit prior to installing the root applications. The best way to check is to verify you have either Superuser or SuperSU installed and working. Are you able to use applications that require root such as Titanium Backup, EFS File Explorer, etc.?
I tried opening Titanium Backup but it failed saying there is not ROOT access...should I use the toolkit all over again...not sure what's wrong...the tablet is in USB debugging mode and MTP(media device) mode...
