FYI: Microsoft recently released an update fixing FastBoot and several incompatibility issues with Windows 8.1 and Server.

This update is available from Windows Update center.

Official Microsoft Update for Windows 8.1 32bit and 64bit which would fix FastBoot issues can also be installed the from updates attached.

**Verified** Fastboot FlashMode and ADB are working.
