because it does have a front facing camera. Cause thats the I9000, the original overseas galaxy s. with a front facing camera.

Our Tmobile version does not have a front facing camera...

Honestly there's more going on with the "LIGHT SENSOR" then just a light sensor lol

I've seen other light sensors and there no bigger then a ball point pen tip but there's 3 seperate "SENSORS"

There's a Light Sensor, a Send Proximity and a Recieve Proximity.

THERE.
IS.
NO.
FRONT.
CAMERA.
ON.
THE.
VIBRANT.

I hate it when people keep insisting against the obvious. If you really want, I'll take it apart this weekend and show you.

I wasn't insisting that there is a front facing camera merely that there was more then just a light sensor

I take it that the send and receive proximity are what lock the screen when you put the phone to your fave

If you do take it apart, can you take the pics ala ifixit.com tear downs?

Even more confusion:

Samsung-Galaxy-S-cell-phone-04.jpg

International:

Official name: Galaxy S GT-i9000

Physical: Has 3 buttons on bottom: 2 touch sensitive and 1 physical button

Samsung-vibrant-Bell.png

Canada:

Bell Mobility also has a Galaxy S phone called "Vibrant"

Official Name is GT-i9000M

It has three buttons on the bottom, 2 touch sensitive and one physical (just like the GT-i9000 international version of Galaxy S)

I love my Vibrant, but a front facing camera, status led & camera flash (even a cheap led flash) would have really made me one happy jack.

I dont like the physical buttons on the other vibrants or the droids.. I really think my vibrant looks beautiful! :)
