i will include patch for vdt rom, you can flash it without any problems, i`ve removed "modem" and modem line from the updater-script..
now you can charge you phone while its being turned off.. working 100%

patch is not obligatory. but if u dont flash it than be sure to install freegee and unlock your bootloader or else you will end up with a bootlop. if some1 has already flashed rom and applied the patch afterward and cannot flash anything through new recovery than just do the same.install cwm through freegee and its all good

this rom doesnt have knock off and slide but its been great for me..zero bugs so far.. speed demon. no lag at all.good battery life. lots of themes and network modes.

Just to inform you, vdt rom is a long run project that has started since ics age for lgog, own by a Vietnamese guy at LgViet.com forum, not a korean one. @vandieutot is his nickname in this forum.
thanks man.. I`ve sent him a message.. I asked hoangnova to create a new thread because I thought that he`s the creator of this rom.. its all written in vietnamese so I didn`t understand quite good.. now i`ve given all credits to vandieutot, of course.
How did you update through KDZ? I can't seem to get it working..

By the way I've also lost my network connection and can't recover the efs with my backups whatsoever, please help :'(

It didn't work for me also, but I managed to get it working (the one from the OP) when I bricked the phone (I forgot to wipe data after installation, so I couldn't even get to bootloader menu).
How did you manage to get your phone to work again? because I have the same problem right now.
I would appreciate it if you could explain carefully bc after 12 hours of trying to figure this out I need something simple

if youve got no mobile network or wifi or bluetooth, try flashing a modem, ive had this in the past. Go here: http://downloads.codefi.re/houstonn/lgog/modem and download the correct modem for your phone and flash through recovery. btw, i dont even know what efs is, ive never backed it up or restored it

Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache, flash rom and supersu and done! Boot successful
I didn't install freegee after that... No errors i think my bootloader stayed unlocked :S will try later to boot into recovery
Also ART doesn't work

20Just to be sure, before doing any of these steps BACKUP your current rom, connect your phone to a pc, open your phone`s internal storage, create a new folder and name it "0", without qoutes ( that`s a zero, not a letter 0 ), put all your files to that folder.

So, to get to the point, many users have reported a soft/hard brick. I recommend you trying this method, even thought the previous method worked for me every single time. That same method is quoted in the first comment, so if you want you can still try it. Install Jelly Bean E97510h from this link ( using KDZ updater )https://mega.co.nz/#!0gtWRABR!WSbEST...Y3UKMh3m4i7i14 Make sure you have an unlocked bootloader ( download app called "freegee" from the play store and unlock your bootloader using "mako" method ) and a recovery ( I recommend using CWM ):

4. Put all three files on your sd card
5. Enter recovery >> Wipe data/factory reset >> Wipe cache >> Wipe dalvik cache >> go to mounts and storage and click "format system"
6. Install Sling Rom, then Patch and finally Super Su
7. Go back, once more wipe data/factory reset >> wipe cache >> and wipe dalvik cache
Reboot your phone and enjoy kit kat.. you dont need to flash 10H modem because I`ve already included it in the patch, and you dont need to unlock your bootloader. I`ve tested this method and it works 100%, if you cant get it to work than you`re doing something wrong.

I have had this wakelock before on other roms, and i have googled it a lot. Some say that it might be chrome browser, but i dont have it installed and yet i have this wakelock. But in general it should be a sensor that is active all the time, and keeping the phone awake. This wakelock is really hard to resolve, because it could be anything, system or an app. I did read somewhere though that it could be resolved by a logcat or something, but dont remember.. I will search again and update if i find it

Multiple reasons
1.Auto Brightness is fixed
2. Better ui and many lock screen effects
3. Knock Off , Slide aside , Guest mode and Qslide apps On/off option
4. Better camera
5. Transparentstatus bar
6. White icons
Etc etc
But major reason is improvement in battery performance (See att SS)
And its always better to be on latest OS and don't let your friends withsamsung or other devices to make you feel your OS is old ☺
