my question is now, hoping that the software returns to ics, would it be easier for me to proceed with unlocking my P768 on ics firmware. is there a simpler technique. is the bootloader unlockable then?
i have totally given up on the offline method but i desperately wanna unlock my bootloader and start flashing customs as i always have on Android. it is what makes it all interedting after all
That is weird, I had no problem with installing the LGMobileSupportTool following this
awesome guide by cmahendra
You can try downloading a newer version of the B2CAppClient from LG's website and try again.
As far as I know the only way to unlock the P768's bootloader is by flashing the P760 JB KDZ, and no there is no simpler technique.
I don't think there is any other way than with the offline flashing method, sorry.
If you are still stuck, try asking for help at this
thread, it is the only P768 guide I could find.
