Thanks for this precise and detailled guide I wish I had read this before, for now my Galaxy S2 is without protection and the screen protector in the bin
Just tried to fix 2x a protector on my SGS but every time bubbles in the edges.
Sometimes directly after installation or even a few days later.
For me the best results I had with the "wet-method" with "invisible shield" never got any bubbles but the shield is realy ugly and highly visible.
Now I don´t use any shield. Only a back cover from case mate.
I think "Gorilla Glass" should be strong enough to protect the display against scratches and the touchscreen feels better without
I do find that if you are not installing a screen protector as the device is fresh out of the box, it helps a lot to wipe the screen using a small quantity of lighter fluid on a lint free cloth.
Awesome! Let me know how it goes for you. Basically, the 'trick' is all in using the tape 'handles' to help steady and position the sheet, but the pointers on techniques, best practices and the steps in which it's done help. Some great ideas, I will try them this weekend when I place one on my Thunderbolt after I remove the Zagg that I cant stand and was only a waste of money!!!
Another great tip
If your are (for example) in your bathroom, let the hot water run, near the steam is no dust, so you can place your Screen Protector dust-free
