The problem is this. the apk needs to be deodexed so it can be decompiled & the 204 images for % icons added manually. See there is an xml in the values folder named public.xml. when you add new images( ones that were not previously in the original apk), when it recompiles, apktool will build a public id for the new images. this is how android see's the images. By using the villian theme system to push the xml's or images will not work, because there is no public id for the new images. (this is why it only shows in 10% steps, just like the factory icons.) Only way I know to fix this on stock rom is to deodex the apk, make your changes, Then delete systemui.odex frrom the device & push the newly modded systemui to system.

Right I put the new system ui in the system/app folder, and flashed the stock zip fix you posted, rebooted and the battery icon is still missing, however thinking about it I assume I should have deleted the original system ui or at least moved it, is that right?
By the way I set the permissions the way you said.

Just deleted the fix from post #2, because i think it´s better for Stock-Users to have 10%-steps than no battery

Think rayford85 is right, it works, because the png-names for 10%-steps are already included in Stock-SystemUI, for more it would be easier to change to one of the great Custom-ROMs around here than deodex the Stock-SystemUI.

Glad it works on DHD too, but big Icons could cause problems because of Resolution...
Some Icons also may Not appear, because they are only in drawable-xhdpi

Noted.. I have only been using it from Sensation but since u r using villain theme its much easier. But I have to rename much of it and redid some to get it done.. but I did it thanx to u guys!

Hi mate

White4all has bug... you forgot to look at files in package... some gold png's inside and when u run gps you can see them in statusbar

not a big deal cause i've fixed it myself but some noobs will have a problem with it
