Man... I'm not jealous of much about the iphone, but their blinky flash on incoming calls is one feature I'd like to have.

On my HD2 (with Hyperdroid 5.3.0 CM7) I am just trying to use it for incoming calls, not SMS. For the first incoming call it works. For the second incoming call I get a FC. "The application Flash Blink (process.com.andriod.test) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

(Note "andriod" is how it appears in the FC message.)

Once when I tried to answer an iincoming call, the phone froze. Call did not connect and the flash stayed blinking while the phone was stuck on the screen for answering the call. Had to pull the battery to reboot it.

Also I noticed affter hanging up a call then trying to use the camera, my camera app said "could not connect to the camera." Presumably because FlashBlink was still connected to the camera to control the flash.

That was enough to uninstall the current version - but I look forward to giving the next release a try. Thanks for all the work you're putting in!

Hi mate...
Now with a new idea again!...
What if notifications are shown not just by blinking?...

I think you can make it show a wave form light! I mean it turns on smoothly during a not long time (e.g. 1.5 seconds) and turns off again n again it on n again...

First I thought it can show a blink like this: 0100101011010101001011010!
I hope you understand! It does not have an algorithm. Then I found that it may make some problems.

"Wave form" will be beautiful!

indeed very nice app

but has any1 noticed battery lasts less?

Mate as much I think it hardly uses ur battery.. Ya ofcourse the camera flash uses some part of it only during the service's but not otherwise.. But anyways I have already taken care of it in the future release.. Few minor tweaks n mod's remaining.. New version coming up shortly in June 1st o 2nd week.. ;)

P.S: The new version is already made with new feature's added but need's few improvement so will be updated after my exams.

Firstly i saw few people asking for an application which can notify them with camera/led flashlight when incoming call. So i thought i would make one ;)

Flash Blink was born March 20th 2012, and the first of it's kind! Now its all new, used and loved by android users all over the world. Now available on play store!

Flash Blink intimates you about any incoming notifications on your android device by triggering the flash light LED present behind the screen of your device.
So now you can get notifications through camera flashlight! It includes for the following:
    *Incoming calls
    *Sms
    *Alarm
    *Third Party Applications

You can also use the application as a torch, includes torch widget far fast access.

Please test your phone's capabilities with the torch button.
If the flash fires, you are all set.
