So, here goes. The Owl carpad was able to slightly increase my battery by maybe 2-3% on Friday as I drove to work for 20 minutes. I had bluetooth, NFC and data on while listening to Google Music (via its own speakers). Brightness at ~10% with Lux. The wireless charging works easily. Docking the phone is easy.
Today I went out to the car, we had some snow today, so its pretty cold. The carpad is mounted to my window and it fell off whe nI went to mount the phone. I was unable to get it to reattach with a few careful tries. There did not appear to be moisture on my window, but who knows. It was definitely "cold".
My GNex never had an issue attaching to the window, it fell off in summer a few times, but don't recall that in winter.
I think the surface/material for this adhesion is subpar, compared to the GNex dock. Maybe I can swap the window mount...
I use the phone in landscape mode. The bottom clamp interferes with my (gloved) finger when trying to touch the screen right above it on the bottom center. So this can affect the Google Music app (pause/play) and an app lanuch icon for me. With a bare finger, it seems easy to get past, but not with even slim gloves is it possible. I'll continue to provide feedback for folks.
I'm hoping to get the Qi fix kit after I get back from T-Day vacation. Doubt it'll come before then.
