Default [Q] Turn-By-Turn Navigation Issues on S3! Please help Noob.

I recently did the Kies update to Jelly Bean on my S3 from Rogers. Everything seemed to be working great afterwards until i noticed that my built in Navigation wasnt working properly. Before the update the Turn-By-Turn would tell me the street names. But now the voice just says " Turn right" or "Turn left." I thought it was just me but my wife updated her S2 to 4.1.2 and now she is having the same issue with her Navigation. Has anyone else had this issue? Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks

I updated via Kies to 4.1.1 and my Navigation definitely still says street names, etc., but I'm on AT&T...maybe a Rogers user can chime in?
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB in Marble White
4.1.1 (LK3) - rooted and de-odexed | Mods: 23 toggles, no brightness slider, no ongoing WiFi notification, AOSP lockscreen | Recovery: TWRP 2 with Orange Backup
Sandisk 16GB microSD (review)

Guides: Noob-friendly *.apk editing, TWRP update notifications, WiFi perpetually on after JB update: a fix!

I'm assuming that its a Rogers issue because my wife has the S2 and she updated and now is having issues with her Nav as well.

Good point....maybe change the thread title to include Rogers and someone will notice and check!

Rogers' user here. I get the same problem. I had an S2, which I used daily for work, driving from places to places, and I remember the Navigation app said streets names. Phone broke, and I got an S3. Now, I get the same symptoms as Itsmemickeeey: Navigation only tells to "turn left", but no more "turn left on Main street".

my wife is at&t running stock/unrooted firmware on her s3 and she had gps and odd navigation issues as well after the kies jb update. i had her back everything up and then i did a full data and cache wipe from stock recovery. that might have been enough but to be sure, i then flashed the latest stock/unrooted firmware in odin and wiped data/cache in recovery again. upon reboot and initial phone setup, she's had zero navigation issues. cheers

DONATE TO ME
This is not a gps issue, the apk has been updated to not say it.

Who/why would the stock (google) navigation apk be changed on any one carrier?
