Anyways no matter what is happening to ur phone just first flash http://uploaded.to/file/ngs9ac6s 4.0.3 kernel ftf (thanks to overloard for providing me) . Then again flash 4.0.4 ftf just un-check its kernel from it..... after installation definately turn-on ur phone... skip or complete the setup guide .
As i guess u want root connect ur phone to pc in debugging mode and unknown sources checked, download http://www.4shared.com/zip/kx8Ezp1G/Root_Exploit_OneClick.html and run Root Exploit OneClick "run me" batch file ur phone will restart 2-3 times , u will have 4.0.4 update with 4.0.3 kernel with root ... switch off ur phone drag 4.0.4 ftf file in flashtools , exclude everything and just check mark its kernel, click ok... and flash it ... u will have 4.0.4 running with its stock kernel and with root !!

But i have a problem, i wanted to uninstal all the apps that are preloaded, but when i uninstall them with Uninstaller Root or something like that, i get an error message, like : Failed, try again

First please read the full thread. This has been answered.
Thia is because 4.0.4 stores some of those apps in the vendor folder instead of system. This can be solved by using an app called...
Systemcleanup
HOW TO. Remove system apps:
If you cannot remove system apps please try and use systemcleanup.
If this still does not work please let the op know.

try some of the other firmwares then and to re root ur fone use the original with the ready to root flash only the kernal from it root ur fone and switch back to the 4.0.4 kernal if u dont mind me asking which network are u on and what region / nationality pm me if u dont want to post it hear

iv had no problems with charging at all but after reding something in the mini pro rooting that they had problems with something being left on the phone from previous roots or something like that i cant remember which thread it was but il go look

i had this problem when using the french fw u changed the default one in there didnt u i didnt look for an easy solution to this but if u created a BACK UP WHEN U FIRST ROOTED UR FONE AS IN STOCK ROOTED IN CWM IT WOULD SAVE U SOME TIME REFLASH AND RE ROOT

im in the uk and the one i found with wifi tether that worked was the central europe generic 1 but i was thinking maybe it could be solved easy but havnt got round to checking yet tha i was guna take out all the check wifi tether entitilment apk from system and check if it was maybe something that differs in them and if they could just be re installed into any other system/apps and maybe work this is all untested tho as im too busy with the kids to try

ok.. reflash and reroot for third time, it works... my APN menu working again.. weird.. why in 2nd time i reflash didn't work?

I would try re doing the full process and trying the settings again. If you don't know ur apn info. Ur provider should give it to u over the phone.
Maby try a diff region ICS. Or factory reset. Or down grade to gb fix The issues back up and try ICS again.

After i used buzzinkeegs's tutorial to root my Arc s i thought to put the 562 kernel in the 431 FTF, so the only thing you need to do is rooting with OneClick root exploit for the 4.0.3!

2. Flash the ftf (a) using flashtool
(Dont worry if you get black screen, just pull out the battery, put it back and switch on, wait for leds to light up ,at that exact point do following)
3. Root your phone by just executing the exe file in the toolkit (b)
4. Now just flash (c) ftf using flashtool
you have a rooted pro.
PRECAUTIONS:
1.Dont forget to close flashtool after flashing the first FTF (a)
2.Also close PC companion too

The toolkit provided have a 1.15 busybox ver , which is very old (have permission setting problems and other problems) , so please download newer busybox (using jrummy's busybox downloader available in playstore) ,also change the su file in the toolkit/files/ folder by the su file I have given in files.rar

Perfect...so now just follow the steps below (DO NOT CONNECT THE PHONE TO THE COMPUTER YET)
1. download the the lt18i_4.1.B.0.431_kernel_down_upgrade file if you haven't already from http://www.mediafire.com/?twn09p8ekug46f7
(It is the LT18i kernel but you can use it)
2. extract the file, you will have two files called 1_lt18i_4.1.B.0.431_kernelDowngrade.ftf and 2_lt18i_4.1.B.0.431_kernelUpgrade
3. open flashtool (do not click on the flash mode)
4. drag and drop the 1_lt18i_4.1.B.0.431_kernelDowngrade.ftf into flashtools main window and the flash mode window will automatically open with the ftf
5. check the No Final Verification box and click on OK
6. Flashtool will ask you to turn off your device, hold the back button and connect the phone so do that anc click OK
7. it will start flashing the downgrade kernel..Once it is done disconnect the phone from the computer and CLOSE FLASHTOOL (Closing flashtool is very important)
8. Start your phone, check USB debugging and Unknown sources and root using DoomLord's Tool like you did before.....
