CF Auto Root & SDS Patch
I have posted this question one other place on the forum but it hasn't been answered and in fairness it was on oldish thread so I'm wondering if it might not have been the best place to ask it. So thought I'd ask in a new post instead. Sorry for the duplicate question. ...
I have just rooted my Galaxy Note 2 using the instructions here...
However, I have the 'insane' chip which has been patched by Samsung against Sudden Death Syndrome (I'm using jelly bean 4.1.2).
I would like to know if anything in the above method of routing will interfere with Samsung's patch and make me susceptible to SDS again.
There are many well written and helpful 'how to root' guides on the forum and my thanks go to all those who have put in the time to help us noobs out. The only thing is that SDS is a relatively recent discovery and none of these (older than SDS) guides say what affect their routing methods will have on it.
The answer must surely be very important for millions who have the insane chip and are wondering if routing is safe.
Plse could someone advise on this.
Thank you very much in advance.
