Emulated and Legacy on internal SD

So I have the internal SD as "0" and the external as "sdcard1" but within "0" I have an "emulated" and "legacy" folder with some of the files within the filders being the same but one folder has less files. Anyone know why its like this?

Thanks...I didn't know if I didn't something wrong while flashing a ROM or copying data over from another phone but thanks again, I appreciate it
