[Q] How to know the manufacture date of the galaxy S

Is there any way to know the manufacture date of the galaxy S, not the battery date, trough codes into the phone or a S/N list?

PD: My battery shows 2010.07.27, bought 9 september

im not sure if i am right but if you remove the battery then under your serial it will say a four digit number. 10.08 on mine, 10.09 on my brother's. im thinking that means 2010 august and 2010 september.

i could be totally wrong, just a guess here.
