Its pretty simple if you're concerned with the color multiplier setting just change them.

I've brought mine down a bit just out of personal preference. I thought .93 was a bit too bright for me.

FYI, by changing density to 192 and adding the line "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" to the build.prop, Tablet Mode is unlocked. Phone and PlayStore work. All you need is a modded launcher to get rid of all the unused space on the desktop and app drawer :D

Here:

When I first rooted my phone I flashed a CM9 build from mid April. I want to flash the latest release, and have a question or two.. Can I just flash the new release ontop of my current ROM, or do I need to do a wipe first? If so, is there a way I can back up all my data, settings, and apps?

Since my last post was removed and infracted, I'll be nicer this time.

It's not explicitly clear that he remained on CM9, e.g. "my current ROM". I hope you'll excuse my lack of superfluous bold and underlined characters.

Why don't you and akira02rex take your private battles somewhere else.. this is thread is loosing it's value the longer you continue your issues here..

Please.. just a polite request.

Switched from NS to GN for a few days. Just flashed 0422 nightly.

Found that the icons/shortcuts in the home screen are too bright. If lower the overall brightness of the screen, apps are too dim, say, Play Store and GMail. Same problem in 0418, 0422.

Is there any way to just dim the icons/shortcuts in the home screen only, but not apps?

thx in advance!

Man, you scared me to death. My data plan is 2Gb only. If I had used 4,5Gb I would probably sell my car to pay the bill. But it's fine here.

Edit: sorry for posting twice, I thought double posts would be auto merged.

Really, that happen from 12:30 am to 8:30 am
I found the battery level is 12% and the data was used by the Android OS as shown in the pics.

That's why you should always use a data plan that caps or throttles instead of charging overage fees ;-)

Do you know if it's possible to fully hide navbar in 192 dpi table mode, maybe using 'Fullscreen Toggle'?

You could try to lower the color multipliers; you can find these in settings-advanced-color multipliers. Values around 60 are quite okay I guess. Don't know if it helps, but it's worth a shot.

Repositories for all AOSP projects have been created on our github to alleviate any potential mismatches (branch is 'jellybean').

While Jelly Bean won't require a major rewrite of all the CM features, the source has been re-arranged and re-factored enough that a simple merge isn't possible. So we will proceed with manual merging (this was to be expected really).

The plan of attack will be to cherry-pick everything from CM9 and fix the merge conflicts and relocations. It’s tedious but the only way. Ideally the original patch authors will forward-port their changes, so if you are out there and want to help out, join us in #cyanogenmod -dev.

+ Trebuchet might be messy to rebase onto JB.
+ Theme Engine will be messy.
+ SystemUI stuff will need to be restyled.
+ Lockscreen stuff will need to be restyled.
+ The current UX of Settings is good, no reason to change anything there.

A manifest (Cyanogenmod/android.git) will be going up later this afternoon, so the masses will be able to sync directly from our source at that point as well.

This will be it on the updates (so we can focus on actually working). Next post referencing JB should be when the merge/cherry-pick process is complete.

Why are some people coming in here like "why cm doesnt do it like aokp"?

Why do you think??? Because it ISN'T aokp.
I'm getting pretty bored about everyday i come in here, and mostly every post i read says "i have data drops with nightly X" "i have wifi drops on nightly X" "when cm releases a stable rc" "milestone"
Do you know what nightlies mean??? There are no bug reports, so all those complains will only be heard, basically when, you are running a RC and you get a logcat or kmsg to backup your claims. Otherwise, it's just user error.
So stop cluttering the damn thread and asking if this is good enough to be a daily driver. If you have to ask, then its not for you.
Go back to stock or aokp. Return your phone, you are holding it wrong. Buy a dumb phone.

It would be great if you guys who have changed to a 3rd party kernel would quit posting in this thread. Thanks
