Download the latest version (2.8.0.3) from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m8_wlv and fastboot flash it. Or, the Flashify app can flash the image for you, once downloaded. How do I update my current TWRP? Download latest in play store, install, install recovery, or? I just dont want to mess up my current one
Recoverydo i chose boot image or zip file or recovery image in flashify to update twrp?
I have the same card, and have had no such corruption issues. Have you considered reformatting the card? Which version are you using? The latest 2.8.0.3?I cannot fully understand this, but attempts to use mtp and/or usb mount with both WinXP and Win7 systems consistently corrupts my SanDisk 128g exFAT formatted sdcard. Nandroids all work fine, I just have to stay away from mounts in recovery if I don't want to trash my card.
My name is Harold and I'm a flashaholic....

They're essentially the same, unless you load my latest test version with the MTP fixes (the official version will be releasing soon with that and more fixes).I'm also suspicious of the card myself (but it's a warranty replacement from Sandisk for the first defective 128g card!)
I was actually looking for your TWRP Captain, which was the last good TWRP I loaded before the "official" 2.8.0.3 but can't remember where I saw it.
UPDATE: Oops, now I see it's still 2.8.0.2. Will update to 2.8.0.3 (unless you think yours is better).
OK guys got a question for someone. I try to follow along dont know if it has been answered. So here goes I have TWRP 2.7.1.0 installed I have a rom backed up with it now I have flashed 2.8.0.0, 2.8.0.1, 2.8.0.2, 2.8.0.3 all of them and when I backup the rom it says it's done it successfully now when I went to restore the file was empty it has done it on all of them 0.0 0.1 0.2 0.3. It does not matter which recovery I'm in I can still go back to the one that was backed up with 2.7.1.0 and restore that one now what have I done wrong or what do I need to be doing??
I've lost you probably due to the lack of punctuation. Are you saying you HAVE successfully restored from 2.7.1.0 or you CAN'T restore from ANY of the TWRP versions?
Yes sorry about that. The only one I can restore is from 2.7.1.0. "All" the other TWRP versions says the backup was successful but when I try to restore them the file is empty. Is that better sorry I'm old school we never used a period.
So when you do the Nandroids in the subsequent TWRP versions, then look at the card with a file explorer or connected to PC, can you see the backup files or are they al 0 length? How big is your sdcard? Is it formatted exFAT or FAT32? Are you on the latest firmware?
After I got back up and running and got connected to the computer I looked at the backup I made and it said 0 length. I believe I'm fat32 I've had the sdcard from the beginning. It's a 64gig. 4.4.4 is that what you need?
If you unmount the card, connect it via reader to the PC, and right click, is it formatted FAT32 or exFAT?
It is exFAT formatted. Hey hgoldner my daughter is getting married tomorrow and I have a rehearsal dinner to go to that I'm late if we are on later tonight can we take this up then? Thank you?
I can chain-flash 10 zips with no issues. There must be an issue with the scripting in the TB zip (or whatever other zip you're trying to flash).Hey all,
I have noticed a weird behavior in TWRP that has existed over my last two phones. The zip queue feature doesn't seem to flash any zip after the first zip. It reports successfully flashed, but for example if my second zip was to install Titanium Backup when I go to the app drawer I don't see the app. I have to reboot back to recovery and install the zip again. I am just now wondering if I am doing wrong because I assumed that it was a quirk with my GNEX before. Now that it happens with my HTC M8 I am rethinking the cause of this. I do not remember if I could manually flash the two zips to make it work or not. Has anyone else experienced this? If so were you able to resolve it?
Same here. The only exception would be flashing a zip that automatically reboots the phone. If you know a zip will reboot, put it in the queue last.I can chain-flash 10 zips with no issues. There must be an issue with the scripting in the TB zip (or whatever other zip you're trying to flash).
Not to sound like a complete noon... But I'm new to HTC.I been with Sammy. And Odin for years.... What's the difference between ADB and fastboot.. I know adb is through terminal command...in your "adb folder" on your c drive... ( right click and shift) to open a command prompt... Guess I'm just confused what the difference between that and fast boot.. please educate me and not flame me.... Lol...
