[Q] Can I completely wipe a carrier S3 GT-I9305?
I've just bought an ex Optus (Australia) network Galaxy S3 GT-I9305 4G.
When I booted it up it, ran through the Samsung setup procedure, the phone downloaded and updated to Jellybean 4.1.2.
After the update I put my sim in and successfully joined the 2 Degrees (New Zealand) cellphone network.
Although my phone works fine, I cannot remove/move a lot of the Optus apps, or the Optus startup/shutdown logo.
Anyway, I do want to root my phone and install a custom rom, which I successfully did before with my previous Galaxy S3 GT-I9300..
I found a rooting process specific to this model/carrier phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=32036331
What I want to know is will rooting and ROMing the phone get rid of the Optus apps/startup logo etc...?
