Crazy question. Can someone that is using firerats tell me if this is the correct way to format for firerats with CWM?
Format system, data, cache.
Wipe dalvik
Flash firerats recovery
Format system, data, cache.
Wipe dalvik
Reboot recovery
Flash rom
Flash firerats boot

I also formats boot. And, there is another format boot, system, data, cache after rebooting recovery and before flashing the ROM.
I cant get GV to work. Was it working in the last release? I swap ROM's to much and now I cant remember, but I thought it was working.

Not to knock Cyanogen but this build is smoother than 6.1 even without the camera. I think all the extras bog down the phone. +1 to aosp.

No as for losing your nandroids go into your sd/nandroid folder and just move them into sd/clockwork/backup folder...works like a charm

I got it to work in this one - But Not setting up.
Set it up in .9.9.2- Did a full backup in TB.
Wiped and formated clean -
Flashed Rom and Gapps -
Reboot.
Sync - Let it install all your apps.
Click google voice and complete the final steps.
Works....
G-mail - Doesn't....opens the email then Reloads - Getting closer last version would open at all. Using g-mail on the exchange app.....
can you install apps2sd on this ROM, i see that it kinda has it already but it doesnt move the entire app. or is that just cause i dont have an ext partition. what are the advantages of doing this (apps2sd for apps and dalvik cache to sd)(i have 78.44 mb of internal storage already)? oh and if your still having problems with booting, i tried everything, then i decided wth might as well try clockwork recovery, and it actually did work after this. i know i know everyone said to do this but i had never had trouble with amon_ra before this. This thing is QUICK, 2.3 on my hero = one happy camper.
Any word on the cause for the Gmail app to malfunction? Just curious as I haven't seen any specifics.
I just flashed the 1228 gapps and my gmail is working fine....the stock gmail app sucks anyways
do y'all think this rom is ready for daily use? im so excited about it! AOSP, YOU ARE THE MANNNN!

Best way to find out is to nanroid and try it yourself. From the sounds of it, yes, as long as you don't mind not having a camera/working GMail app.

Here is the s0be's fix
1. adb shell
2. su
3. mkdir /cache/download
4. chown system:cache /cache/download
5. chmod ug+rwx /cache/download
6. chmod a+x /cache/download
Then the market should download.
