I'm using the carbon rom and the kernel with that rom (and the slim bean one too) is just awful. My music player stops playing if I go into the browser or maps or shopkick. All my background apps and even Bluetooth settings reset every so often as if the phone had a hot reboot.

I flashed the latest kernel 1.7 without s2w and it has solved my issues but now i get reboots.

I suspect maybe one of my apps is causing this or maybe my sd card needs a fresh format.

But either way, i am enjoying this kernel. Thanks

I am having the same issues here with Carbon. I was not having issues before the 4/28 Carbon Update.

Try previous kernels. The new kernel was made for changes in the 5-10 edition of Decks rom.

The issue with the music app I've had since the slim bean rom but the other issues started on the latest update of carbon. Different kernel definitely fixes them.

I think it is something rim related... I have not been able to get any reversion of this kernel to work since the 4/28 update. Prior to that update all was fine.

I'm on carbon 4/28 and was using rls 30 but was having trouble with all CPU dropping to 192 . I couldn't get any frequency to stick so I flashed rls 29 12 hers ago and so far so good. Also I raised all the voltages even after flashing the voltage zip. For me anyways 29 is liking carbon 4/28 a lot better

I use the built in performance controls in pac and everything sticks just fine. Check set at boot for each item.

If performance control is crashing, and you're not using any other apps like kernel tuner etc., then maybe you should try fresh install of pac and kernel.

Getting one or two random reboots a day on a clean install of deck's 5/10 and the latest Komodo. Going to try the voltage stabilizer zip and report back tomorrow, but I haven't needed it in the past. Even with the reboots though, I'm definitely getting better battery life, so it ain't all bad.
