[HOWTO] Root, Hack, Flash G1/Dream

1. Download these to the SD:

2. Use ASTRO to install the APK file. -> Run the program.
3. Click to BackUp your current recovery.
4. Type "/sdcard/recovery-RAv1.2.1G.img" into the text box. -> Click "Flash Custom Recovery Image" (unless you want Cyan)
5. Boot into the recovery screen and flash the new update.zip file.

new issues

Yes I have probably 20 times.

This is what i keep getting

DREAIMG.nbh - FAIL

BOOTLOADER - OK
RECOVERY - OK
BOOT - OK
SPLASH1 - OK
SPLASH2 - OK
SYSTEM - OK
USERDATA -OK
RADIO_V2 -FAIL

Update Terminate
UPDATE FAIL

This was a stock G1 no mods at all one day i woke up and had that lovely triangle. Could not wipe and could not update. so i tried to reload and ive been in hell since.

TY for the info tho i appreciate you taking the time to look it up.

problems and more problems

Hi,

Right now i just got this G1 D" SG edition (singapore) on build DRD20?
Drea110 pvt 32b
Latest radio
Donut stock build 1.6

I tried both RC7 and RC29 but it didn't worked for me. At the grey screen it checks then load then says 0028002(can't really remember the num) and "not allowed"

I'm wondering is it D' DRD20 build or some other issue?
Am using a kingston 8GB class 4 SDHC card.

I tried D" goldcard method but it didn't work. It damages my sd card and i've got to reformat it again!

Someone please help! been on this for D' fourth day!

*stuck at Rogers logo
*no fastboot
*no recovery
*I get the pretty blue LED when I hold down trackball and power
