I had not considered that to be a possible issue, but since my flash this afternoon I have not yet experienced an issue. Having said that, I just checked my contacts: 380 in Google, enabling contacts from other phone services this could be as large as 580. I disabled these however, so I'm currently on 380 contacts in my phone.

Hi Spider, i have been on Hypersensation for few weeks, i am planning to switching to this one, as this is cooked from official build, i want to ask if you can provide a seperate flashable zips for weather and widget and FM Radio, FM radio is what supported by our hardware, kristopher previously did provided that as an ad-on..by the way i am switching to this because of massive battery eating by cm9. ROM is absolutely flawless..keep it up mate.
This ROM is pretty basic, you can add a lot of stuff yourself however, stuff might be in one of the (old) addon packs. Let me comment on your list:
Weather widget: I don't know, don't use it, I use HD Widgets
FM Radio: You can flash that through one of the addonpacks, then you still might mis an interface file, Yank however, supplied this missing file in a zip, found in this post.
Seriously, (almost) everything from the stock HTC ROMs can be used on this one, as long as you make sure dependencies are restored (as far as these aren't yet in the ROM). You can eg. download 2.8 Overloaded which is a version which as all libraries.

Have you checked superuser app whether you have denied root access to all apps? Another possibility is a bad download or flash, I think that one also came by a few posts / pages back.

as far as weather is concerned this is the only reason i love HTC sense, but only weather, no other bloats, and you know nothing in google play can even get close to the high definition weather made by HTC, can you list me the things i need to push to /system/ to get HTC Weather?
After some test, if the security is on PROMPT, it's possible to select denied or allow but if the security is directely on ALLOW, all permissions is denied.

I really would not know, sorry, you could try to find out with trial and error. I myself use an overloaded version of HNS. I push all missing library files and possibly useful .apk's from the HNS2.8-overloaded to the HNS ROMs I flash. Most things (fm radio, wifi tether eg.) don't have any issues then, though it is a bit shooting with a cannon at a little bug. If you point me to the weather .apk I could try and see if it works on my ROM.

To have any htc widgets you need to use rose launcher if your going to have rose launcher your better of going with a full sense rom all the weather files are like around 50mb maybe more

I've been upgrading to 3.3 tonight, but noticed that htc radio wasn't working anymore, even though I added the 2.8 overload libraries and the "BrcmBluetoothServices.apk", in fact what I did to get it working in 2.9
Any idea what I might look into to find a solution ?
@Spider : Could you maybe post a link to the full base, to pick librairies / apk's from ? I'm afraid older libraries from overload 2.8 may not work properly anymore...

Would you mind theming the "quad-lock" framework-res.apk to b&w ??
I copied all the bitmaps from the b&w framework-res to the framework-res with the lockscreen mod, but I'm still stuck with the blue clock, blue pop-ups (headline text and lines) and possibly other stuff :crying:
Or even better, could you explain where to change that, so I'd learn something in the process and I'd do it myself ?
I'd really love that quad lock with b&w theme

Wifi not working properly.
I can't seem to get the WiFi to turn on at all when i flashed 3.3. The bar the says on/off seems to be completely grayed out and i can click through it and it says it's turning on the WiFi but it just hangs there and does nothing. I flashed the latest Faux kernel after I flashed the ROM and I also updated the Firmware to 3.32. I've tried re-flashing over the existing and starting fresh by super wiping and flashing again. I also tried a couple of the patches included in the original post but none of the fixes I'm trying seem to be working. Can anyone help me out?
Also in case anyone is wondering, it seems that everything else is working just fine. The data connection seems okay and i'm not sure about the Bluetooth but it seems okay.

Have you flashed faux's sense or aosp kernel ? You need to flash the sense one.

Do you have a link to the full htc base Spider used for 3.3 ?
Any chance it's a firmware thing ? Saw 3.3 was rebased to 3.33.401.6... maybe newer firmware/radio needed ?
Hence also my thought using libraries of 2.8 overloaded on 3.3 might not be that good an idea

On request from alpha_dro, who was also gracious enough to serve as a guinea pig and test everything below, I have updated the finer volume control mod based on the 3.9 release.
The mod increases the number of steps in the various volume controls based on this great thread from AndroidON.
Basically it gives you finer volume control, more discrete levels to get the perfect level.
It does not increase the volume levels
If you want that go here to Mudhi's thread.
The standard number of levels is below for the various sounds. So if you are in a voice call, and you hit the side volume buttons, you only get 5 levels, or 6 actually counting silent If you are playing a song in Winamp you can choose 15 different levels.

Just to be clear, the "Original" version just flashes the original unmodified framework.jar back to /system/framework. Flash normally in recovery.
