Dirty Unicorns is a custom ROM built with stability in mind and optional customization. The idea to start this ROM began out of pure boredom around 4.1.2 on the EVO 3D and later turned into a form of an addiction (a good one) to see where we could go from there. We have since expanded to more devices to include the HTC One, Nexus 5, SGS4 and many more. We quickly realize that users loved what we were doing as well as other developers because it was done the right way. We've always had fun doing it and take pride in knowing that we've done it without having to bug the end user for donations to pay for server costs and/or any of those sob stories you hear. This ROM is 100 percent free and will remain that way.​

Those wanting to use our ROM as a base are more the welcomed to do so but please maintained the credits/thanks below, do not ask for donations as it wouldn't be fair to do so considering and let us know as we often like to contribute to other projects.

- Make sure you have TWRP or compatible recovery for kitkat
- Wipe everything but your external/internal storage
- Move the ROM zip to your device
- Flash it and reboot
- Once the ROM boots, reboot back into recovery
- Flash the recommend GAPPS and ENJOY!!

international builds

There are a couple of international builds in the AT&T section, tried almost all of them and all work fine...as a matter of fact, I've read a few people who have been installing Rome from the international section and everything working..I've believe the 4g just isn't as strong for some reason. The big no no, is not to install a cdma version on a gsm phone and vice versa, I.e. can't put a Sprint Rom on a AT&T or Verizon phone..:cowboy:

You're not going to mess up your phone by flashing a international ROM or even a T-Mobile ROM because they're all GSM.........worse case, your data isn't fully working and you could always go back into recovery and revert back to Sense or whatever ROM you were on previously :)

Ok so I tried this Rom and I really like it but I can't get with the lag that all M7 aosp roms have right now. And thats not the developers fault at all btw. it's a none problem with the aosp roms for m7. But keep up the good work :thumbup::eek:

I've gotta say, I downloaded the rom last night, and have yet to flash it because the gapps have just been impossible to download! The link from goo was so unbearably slow and kept failing halfway through, now I'm on one from Rapidshare and it's downloading at 80 kbps. For a 30 Mbps connection this is pretty frustrating LOL!

Has anyone had good luck with the camera thus far?

What lag are you talking about?? No offense but it could be something in your head because I've flashed CM, AOKP and PA along with my own ROM obviously and I've yet to see any lag compare to Sense ROMs.....I could be wrong but that's why I asked :)

Yes u are wrong. And aosp roms at this stage are no where near less laggy then sense 5 roms! No it's not in my head but is on my phone! Iv gottin this very choppy scrolling from every aosp Rom available for the M7 and I'm not the only one. If u don't see or have it then lucky u bro :eek:

gapps?

How do I install the gapps zip... I extracted but just created a folder with no .apk...... Love the ROM , just don't have anything... Not even play store.. But super fast... Awesome ROM..:confused:

    Personally I don't see what the big deal is about Halo but yeah, I'll add it just because there's a lot of people that use DU and would like to see it included :)
